David was polite, very helpful and an excellent driver. He always asked if the van temperature was comfortable.
Outstanding scenery and villages.
Tip: for lunch at the boat eat a sandwich from the vendors as the Lakeside restaurant was just average.
David planned comfort stops, so our trip was 10 hours. Which was understandably ok with us.

Tour guide David was very knowledgeable, helpful and polite.
Had to detour due to an accident on M6 which made our stops slightly shorter than advised in the tour description.
Places we visited were beautiful and breathtaking. Really enjoyed the lake cruise and steam railway ride from Lakeside.
One negative point is that the tour was supposed to be for maximum 12 persons but we were a total of 16. This resulted in a very crammed van.

We appreciate this feedback on the passenger numbers, during the summer months we tend to increase the capacity as there are more people wanting to experience the Lakes during the nicer weather. We are sorry to hear that you thought it was a bit crowded, but we hope you enjoyed the tour despite this!

Our day was fantastic. The scenery is spectacular. Our guide, Scott Herd was amazing. He accommodated us entirely and was a font of information regarding the area.

I joined in late August, but unfortunately it rained and I was disappointed. Also, the Guides are native speed in English so you can hardly hear them. I couldn't hear the explanation of taking the train for a section after the cruise, so I almost missed it and got a cold sweat. The organizers should at least hand out a detailed schedule on paper.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We always want to hear all feedback that our guests have to offer. We are sorry to hear that the weather was not favourable on your trip with us but we believe that it adds a certain dramatic element to our tours However being inside on our bus does help keep you out of the rain and still get to experience what the area has to offer. Our driver/guides always want to give the most information and help give you the greatest experience however we do recognise that this can occasionally be difficult for non-English speakers and this is something that we will work on. However, our drivers do always clarify and make sure that their guests know where and what will happen during the day as well as all this information being available on our website. Thank you for your feedback and we will take it into consideration for the future.

The Mountain Goat tour was a full and fantastic day visiting the Lake District with our wonderful tour guide, Scott! He delivered so much information about the locations as we traveled from Liverpool to the Lake District.
We enjoyed our day with a cruise on Lake Windermere followed by a relaxing ride on a steam engine train. Scott then gathered our tour group and showed us some of the local wonders! We value a tour guide who kind and considerate and that was Scott. It was a great day visiting the Lake District!

Picked best day to go to The Lakes - the sun was out 😎 Amazing views of the National Parks along with a cruise and steam train added in -made this event fantastic - and not to mention the group of great travellers - we all enjoyed the craic with Tom

I booked and pre-paid for the tour starting from Liverpool on July 2nd for July 13th.
They canceled the tour with me and my family finding it out after going to the meeting point and waiting for 30 minutes for the bus to show up on the same day of July-13.
Upon me calling them, they offered for a change for Friday's tour starting from... Manchester. Only after a lot of push, they offered to return the money back which I am still expecting and have not received it back to my bank account.
Really horrible experience.

I am sorry to read your 1* review. Unfortunately, due to operational reasons we were required to cancel your tour on 13th July. We did make contact with you via the Viator portal 3 times to cancel your tour & I am sorry that you did not receive this correspondence prior to arriving for the tour.
With regards to the refund, we always refund guests that have been cancelled. However as you booked with a third party agent, Viator/TripAdvisor, this means we do not hold your funds. We do not receive payment from third party agents until 1 month after the service has taken place. Therefore, Viator/TripAdvisor hold your funds and were advised to refund your payment when your booking was cancelled, I am sorry this was delayed arriving to you.
Once again, I can only apologizes for the miscommunication and understanding regarding your cancellation and refund.

Even though it was foggy we were able to see some lovely spots of the Lake District. It felt very wintery and crisp. Are tour guide had lived there so she knew her way around well and took us to some spots that tourists wouldn’t know.

Driver and guide Jeanie loves the flora, fauna and rich history of this stunning 🤩 countryside.
No question left unexplored; she encouraged us to step out of the van even in a misty rain to capture epic views of a magical place.
History does come alive in a place like Hawkshead, Windermere and more cozy hamlets smushed up against the largest natural lake in England. I’d do this tour again 👍
