Great fun experience.

Went with friends, we all really enjoyed it. Something different. Well organised. The smuggling the alcohol in business is slightly underwhelming, but the cocktails made with it were strong, came quickly, and tasted nice. The actors and story were great. It was really clever. The environment was well thought out down to the lighting, which made the photographs fab. We had a brilliant night and would recommend for something different and a cool/quirky experience.

Absolutley brilliant- staff were amazing

Was not sure what to expect after reading one of the reviews which was poor.

I shouldn't have been worried. It was a great couple of hours. Bar staff and actors were absolutely lovely and so funny.
Don't expect a bar. It is an immersive experience that is well worth the money.

We took 4 miniature bottles each which was more than enough.
Such fun. Just what we needed on a Friday night 😊😊😊

Had such a laugh

We had an amazing time. The actors were fantastic the atmosphere was brilliant. It all looked very authentic. We took rum and had some lovely cocktails. We all had a good laugh . I would definitely recommend the experience.

Fantastic experience

Incredible, we have been all over the world and always do these things as a couple/family but this by far is the best one we have done to date, the staff and everything go above and beyond we had such a laugh and the actors are spot on, amazing experience and will definitely recommend as I have a big following

So poor, real waste of money in my opinion. Ruined mine and others

I can’t really say a positive thing about this place, the gentleman who called himself a “manager” destroyed our whole experience for a very large party of paying guests and I feel completely robbed. I am so upset at how we was spoken too and treated (not as part of the act), very disappointed and i absolutely do not recomend. Out of a party of 20 of us, 18 of us agreed that we found it extremely poor and boring and the manager talking to us like dirt really did add the cherry on top, only 2 out of 20 said that they “liked it“ but I can’t help but feel that was them trying to be polite to the bride. I could go on about our encounter.. this place is costly and i/we expected so much more, essentially your paying over £40 + to take and drink your own alcohol, to sit and listen to people talk in a cheesy false American accent with AWFUL dramatics. Please do not respond with the comment “ we think this is good value for money” etc. as I’ve seen you have responded multiple times before to numerous other negative reviews, you added a bit of juice to our OWN alcohol and even then they were too sweet and tasted awful, we had to return them on more than one occasion, one guest compared the cocktails to tasting like washing up liquid. Some members of our group in seperate cells were only receiving 4 drinks each round, with 6 of them in there (meaning 2 people went without drinks each time.. what a joke, considering we brought our own drink anyway, you really can’t make it up), some members went into a ‘wash room’ and received shots for passing the mission, others of us didn’t get a single shot or get taken into this room.. despite ‘passing the mission’, yet you have the audacity to claim “ that we all get the same experience here at alcotraz” ( when one member asked for a shout out to the bride, which low and behold was denied) .. evidently we don’t all get the same experience. To put this into perspective, we paid a total of £850, for frankly one of the poorest experiences I personally have ever encountered, this is NOT GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY and as the paying customers it is us that gets to determine that .. not you! We paid for a service.. a service which led us to believe we would be entertained and you did not deliver, therefore we did not get what we paid for and I feel that I have every right to be upset by this. We agreed that we have never came across such a rude / disrespectful / patronising manager, who was rude outside before we even entered the premises, this only got worse once inside. Some members tried to have a civil discussion raising their concerns and it was claimed that we had been disruptive and had others complain about us, I genuinely feel that we were not at all noisy or disruptive- despite making up OVER HALF OF THE ROOM IN NUMBERS and if this really was the case then I’m certain we would have been asked to leave or be removed - which did not happen, we stayed for the whole duration. I strongly feel that one member of staff In particular needs to work on his interpersonal skills and would hugely benefit from some training in customer service.
I have read multiple other reviews alike complaining of rude staff /talking to customers like children and very similar experiences to our own.. therefore I can see that this is not an isolated incident.

The bar directly opposite alcotraz offer beautiful cocktails at 2 for the price of 1 before a certain time, in future I will save my money and go there instead, the “theatrical performance” shall not be missed. The other, completely unrelated, activity that we did was great and saved the day for our party, thankfully. A once in a lifetime celebration for our bride to be and her nearest and dearest.. which alcotraz almost ruined and tarnished because it was pitiful… my personal advice is to AVOID.

THE best 90Mins you’ll spend!!!!

OMG!!! This has to be THE best!!!!! It was so much fun and the warden, Willy
, Gilly and Cassidy were amazing! Best 90Mins, there was 15 of us and every single one of us LOVED IT!!!! DO NOT HESITATE to go to it, well worth your time!!!!

Book the event via the provider's website. Tripadvisor will allocate places that are already booked. The provider will then cancel it.

Great for hen dos!

Visited over the weekend as part of a hen do, it was a great activity and the ‘actors’ were all lovely and made the experience come to life. The various cocktails were all great too!

Would definitely recommend for hen/ stag dos or any group of friends as it’s a good laugh!
