The Mousetrap was written by English writer Agatha Christie, the greatest crime novelist of the 20th century. The Mousetrap has been running for 70 years. Needless to say, it's still popular. By the way, there's a surprise twist at the end, as you might expect. If you love theatre, you're sure to like The Mousetrap.

We had heard various people say they were disappointed so went in with low expectations, but we really enjoyed it! It's dated sure but its over 70 years old, you can't really complain about that! If you're a theatre fan you can probably appreciate it, if you're specifically a musical fan maybe not as it doesn't give you that musical high when you come out but definitely worth seeing in my opinion, go in with no pre-existing expectations and you'll be fine, I guess there's a certain level of expectation due to it running for so long, but you just have to take it as it is, a play that was written a long time ago... small theatre so all seats have decent view, there's always ticket deals on get some cheapish seats and give it a go!

We went on December 28th. We had been looking forward to it. The Front of House staff were friendly and efficient as were the staff at the upstairs bar. From there everything else got decidedly worse. This is a time worn piece and it is certainly showing it's age. The acting was awful - our local am dram could have made it a lot more interesting. My husband who loves Agatha Christie nodded off half way through. At the interval we went to the bar and found the bar staff to be very rude and abrupt. It really is time for this to now retire. Don't waste your money on this it really isn't worth it.

The theatre is old, not much space for legs, the show was boring and too long, the tickets prices were ok, otherwise nothing exciting

The show is better than I remembered. The cast is fantastic. The theatre is great. The seats are super comfortable. We thorougly enjoyed this.

We recently saw a performance of the ever-running production of Mousetrap during our recent trip to London. On the plus side, the acting was very professional and the cost, compared to many modern theatrical performances, was most reasonable. The story was predictable and the ending was certainly not as unexpected as the production hype would have you believe. This ain't Shakespeare and it doesn't fit so well in current times, but it is still fun and a good choice for Agatha Christie fans.

The staff were very lovely to me they were all happy and full of life. When the play started it was great the special effects and acting was brilliant with light comedy when things got to serious. I went with my mum and dad and thought the overall experience was a delight, the ending was a bit cheesy but great stage presence, acting and excellent plot twists. The theatre itself is old and is a great historic place, as you probably know the mouse trap is the longest running play to date and is thoroughly worth the money we were in upper circle and still had a great view. The actual story line was brilliant and was very intriguing, it was great fun guessing the murder ( I guessed right 😁). I thoroughly recommend it and hope you have the same enjoyment I had!

Saw this 33 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it as a massive Agatha Christie fan. I confess I couldn’t recall anything about the plot. I used theatre tokens given to me as a gift and decided i would like to see it again. The tickets were quite expensive so we decided to go in the upper circle. Im glad i didnt splash out as the seats were so uncomfortable. Most people were shuffling around trying to get comfy and i felt so sorry for the people with longer legs . Its very high up and stairs very uneven and deep. The toilet facilities were quite frankly awful. I appreciate its a very old theatre but considering the enormous nos of people coming to see the show over 69 years there should be funds available to improve them. That said i did enjoy the play and if you are a fan well worth seeing. Just be aware upper circle from rowsE are small cramped and Incredibly uncomfortable with no bag support.
