Excellent food, excellent guide, worth the cost.

The tour was excellent, with history presented in an interesting way along with great food! I highly recommend taking this tour, it was worth the cost and far surpassed my expectations. The group was small so not overwhelming, there was a chance to talk with others in the group. I will definitely use this company again.

Daily treats of London streets

Last but not least, we took the East End food tour with Kafe on Friday morning. We started off at a modern little breakfast place with a bacon sandwich with a special ketsup! ( such fresh bread) Then some walking history about immigrants and locations. On to the elephants of Hope and the wonderful market where we tried Humble Crumble….so very good without too much sweetness. A stop to learn about coal chutes then on to Poppy’s. A favorite of the fish and chips crowd….add a little vinegar to the fish. Also got to try mushy peas. More walking history and art work on the street. Followed by tempting curries at Aladins. Another famous place Beigel’s sandwiches. Salted beef with mustard sandwich with a dill pickle…..more than anyone could eat! Open 24-7 ..no key for the front door as it has never been closed! Then for the final cup of proper English tea and a piece of Toffee cake. Utterly delightful.

Tasty, fun and informative!

A really fun, tasty and interesting trip around the east end. Our guide Dave (expertly assisted by Kaffe) was brilliant - great knowledge and took time to make sure we were looked well looked after. Really enjoyed the historical information the guys shared with us as we went between delicious food stops!

A deep dive into the lesser-known working class history of London

Our tour guide Max had us all laughing with his wit and kept us interested with the authentic culture of the east end.

The tour itself offers a wide range of food that grew out of the historical conditions of the inhabitants of the area, from the working class cockney to the Bengalese communities that invented the curry dish while living in the UK. Each stop was an authentic take on the dishes that are offered.

Even with the amazing food, my favorite part was learning about the hidden culture, including the historical context of how the neighborhoods that we walked through were formed. The best part is that none of the information was boring because of the fun and friendly personality that Max brought!

Touring East End Foods with Madeleine

Today we toured the East End with Madeleine who guided us through the colorful area and the wonderful foods that the many waves of Immigrants have brought with them to the East End of London. Madeleine was entertaining and informative about the area, the history and the food. My favorite food was the Bangladeshi Indian Curries. Try out this tour for a fun experience and a sample of London’s varied foods!

Fun & Delicious Foodie Tour

Katie was excellent! We loved exploring the East End on this tour, and the food was super fun! The range of food was excellent (dessert at 11 am? ... of course only on vacation), and the group was small enough to meet/enjoy others. Two of the places had long lines, but Katie had pre-arranged our order, so our food was ready when we got there!

Great tour! Lots of food and history!

Loved this tour! Josh is wonderful! Lots of great food (come hungry!) great history and a great guide. Josh was very knowledgeable and kind. I'm gluten-free and he was wonderful at navigating this for me and making sure I had something to try at each stop. Highly recommend!
