I highly recommend The British Museum London- Exclusive Guided Tour and our guide, Becky. My mom and I took the guided tour with Becky on May 17, 2023. It was well worth the money. Becky was very knowledgeable about the museum and the art. We spent 2.5 hours touring the museum galleries. There are over 2,600 paintings/drawings in the Museum, so it’s impossible to see everything; however, the paintings that Becky selected to discuss with us gave us a wonderful sample of the museums content, starting with pre-Renaissance religious art through the Renaissance art of northern and southern Europe, to the great impressionist and ending with British landscapes of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Becky was an expert on all the movements and styles. We enjoyed her knowledge and enthusiasm. I can honestly say that it was my best experience ever at a museum.
If you really want to experience The British Museum, this tour is the best way to do it. 5 stars across the board.

Luis was an amazing guide — knowledgeable, educated and personable. We learned so much and it was a very pleasant experience. A first trip to this museum would be overwhelming without a guide. I only wish we could hire Luis again to take us a second and third time!

Matilda was the best tour guide we have ever had the pleasure of engaging. She showed us the museum’s highlights as well as some hidden gems and new stories. She is extremely knowledgeable, interesting, personable and very well spoken. We will recommend her and Babylon Tours to our friends and family and hope for a return visit ourselves.

We had a fabulous tour with Sheldon. He told us the origins of the collection and took us to all the hot spots - Ramses, the Easter Island statue, the Rosetta Stone and the Parthenon statues. I appreciated how upfront he was about how these objects were acquired by the British. The tour was a perfect length for our 13 and 10 year old who stayed interested throughout but were ready to go at the end. Would 100% recommend this tour and guide.

First, ourguide was easy to find; it seemed to be a preferred meeting point for tour guides; there were at least 4 at the same spot. Our tour guide, Andy, was very knowledgeable and he put many of he items we saw into interesting historical context. The tour was well planned, and the two highlights were the Rosetta Stone and the Elgin Marbles. The actual Rosetta stone is always surrounded by a crowd, but there is also a replica of the stone which is (a) not crowded; (b) not behind plexiglass; and (c) not surrounded by dozens of people. Andy showed us this first and he was able to explain many things about the stone and its importance that one could never do at the actual stone

Our guide Ellie was great, everyone in my family had a great time. The tour was well designed, and the communication/delivery was excellent. Not only did we had fun learning about individual parts of the exhibition, Ellie was able to explain how one part of the tour links to the other parts that we had seen or were going to see. She was also thoughtful to ask upfront if there were particular parts of the museum anyone in our group didn’t want to miss and made sure we cover them. Learning about the stories behind the scenes made this a totally different experience than visiting the museum on our own, we are very glad that we decided to join in this tour.
