Recently visited Europe (Rome, Paris and London) over Christmas with my family of five. While staying in London on December 27th, we did a Pub Walk with "Mark" from Liquid History. All of the planning and booking was done through Tripadvisor.
It turned out to be the best tour we took the entire trip. It began around 2pm and ended around 530pm in the last pub we visited. Having been on ghost walks and other types of walking tours before, Mark was truly the best guide we've ever had. Not only did he take us to four unique and historic London Pubs, but he also provided interesting historical information before we entered each one. He also explained the different types of beers we could expect in each pub and provided recommendations.
He even provided suggestions about Gin Martinis at one particular pub known for their selection of Gins. This was appriciated by my wife who does not like beer. It was a small group of about 12 of us on the tour. We had plenty of time in each pub to enjoy a pint and socialize with other travelers on the tour. Mark was super friendly and spent time visiting with each of us while in the pubs. After the tour, we enjoyed a great dinner at fantastic Indian Restaurant called "Punjab," but that's for a different review.
We all truly enjoyed the Pub Walk and Mark did a great job! Highly recommended!!

What a great time. Grant’s pub tour was so much fun and he is a great guy. We were able to sample local beers while being guided thru Belgravia Square area his knowledge of the area is fantastic.
Looking forward to coming back and taking additional tours with Grant.

It was a fun filled pub tour with an excellent tour guide. Grant was so friendly and full of knowledge. He knows his history! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to do one

This really is an excellent way of spending a sociable afternoon with friends and family.
Even though I am pretty well informed on London's history being a Londoner, Grant really excelled in communicating his wealth of knowledge to us all.
He really is a charming, friendly, experienced and informative tour guide with real in depth knowledge.
Very enjoyable and highly recommended to anyone thinking about taking such a tour.
Also we visited my favourite pub, The Grenadier!.

From the prompt and helpful pre tour information, initial warm and friendly greeting in London, to the well informed and interesting tour we very much enjoyed our experience.
Grant certainly knew his stuff - both historic and modern - and the pubs we visited all had their own individual fascination. Belgravia itself was reasonably unknown to me so it was also good to understand more of how it works.
Would certainly recommend and will be probably book Grants WW2 tour soon.

I’ve now joined two tours led by the charming and knowledgeable Grant. Both were historic pub tours and both were thoroughly enjoyable. I now know not only more about the history of the areas but now know the greatest pubs to visit, ones I never would have discovered on my own.
Grant is an incredibly down to earth and friendly guide. You can tell that he is passionate about history and interesting local facts, so as you walk he shares so many fascinating stories that he has collected and researched over time. This is really the way to learn about a place, whether you are a local or a tourist. He’s also fun to spend time with - I brought my husband and parents on the Belgravia tour and we all had a grand time chatting and getting to know Grant.
I can’t recommend Grant and his tours enough - I cannot wait to join another one.
