Belgravia’s Historic Pubs Walk….absolute brilliant event!

Booked the tour with a couple of friends and it was excellent.

Walked from the hustle & bustle of Victoria Station to the quiet streets of Belgravia.

Took in 4 cracking pubs, all offering something different; from the Beatles to the Grenadier Guards to the Basil Fawlty of publicans!

Our guide, Andrew, kept us entertained with interesting, amusing, historical information about both our environs and the pubs themselves…he’s a first class educator! The blend of history and pubs is a pretty potent format…what’s not to love!

The group was small, 6 plus Andrew, allowing us to get to know each other…which was an added bonus.

I truly cannot recommend the tour enough. Have signed up for their Pubs and Pirates tour too….can’t wait!

eyes-opening and informative trip for initial academic research

This trip is a great chance for undergraduate/graduate students to explore their initial research question, passion and interests. It was very informative and eyes-opening. And Historian Andrew is well informed not only about the place itself but also the whole cultural and historical context. Highly recommended! You might be able to see things differently after this trip.

Faux départ…. Visite annulée
Réservation faite sur Trioadviser, confirmée par TripAdvisor…. Mais le guide n’est jamais arrivé. Nous avons donc pris contact avec l’agence qui organisait cette activité, et ils n’étaient même pas au courant de notre réservation. Nous allons heureusement être remboursés mais malgré tout, ceci ne me semble pas très professionnel. Si vous réservez, veillez à obtenir une confirmation du Tour Opérateur, et pas uniquement de TripAdvisor.

Unfortunately we were simply not aware of this booking - had we known we would have been there. We are truly sorry that this customer has had this experience. I can only reiterate that had we known we would have been there.

This is the second London walk we have done with Andrew and they were both brilliant 🤩 Andrew has so much knowledge and makes the walks really interesting and fun. Thank you. Looking forward to doing the Dickins walk at Christmas time !!

What a great walk!

We had a wonderful walk with Andrew on Sunday 4th June. The weather was perfect and Andrew was so knowledgeable about all the areas we visited. We found ourselves in areas of London we had no idea were there and his friendly manner made the whole experience one to remember. Thank you Andrew, I’m sure we’ll be going back to the area to try out some of the pubs and for anybody looking to do a similar tour, look no further, you couldn’t be in better hands

Belgravia pub walk

Tour - Belgravia pub walk

We booked this tour as part of a friends 50th birthday celebration. Our host, Andrew, was vey knowledgeable, engaging and full of relevant and fun facts. The pace of the tour was perfect for all of us and took us to places in London that we were not aware of.
I was pleasantly surprised that just a short distance from the underground you can find a peaceful area of London without the worry of traffic and crowds.
I would highly recommend this particular tour and based upon my experience will be going back with the same people and book a different one.

Walking whilst gaining local history

We did the Pubs and Pirates walking tour in Sunday 6th March. Our guide was Andrew who was very informative. The walk was 5 miles long and we enjoyed the whole walk, it was very informative on not only the history but also insights on who’s currently living some of the surrounding homes. It was a very enjoyable 3 hours that included exercise, local historical and current information and we ended it with a lovely lunch before catching a ferry back to where we started. Thank you again Andrew

Fascinating tour, fantastic guide!

This was a fantastic walking tour, Andrew is a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide and we found the history of wapping and the surrounding area fascinating. The tour was very well organised and a great day out. I would highly recommend!

Great way to learn about the history of London

This was a superb walk. Andrew, our guide, was informative and knowledgable. We would highly reccommend this walk and have thought about it weeks afterwards.
What an opprotunity to see a part of London that is rarely seen by tourists.
Andrew was great company and brought the history of the Thames alive.
