You absolutely must do this tour in London. Obi provided us with an important history lesson on Brixton, and introduced us to an amazing group of Black-owned restaurants and eateries, each offering outstanding food that highlights the talent in the local community. We left with a full belly but I haven't stopped thinking about the food!
It's clear how much love and dedication Obi pours into Brixton, and the respect from the community is undeniable. We couldn't walk 20 feet without someone stopping to acknowledge him and thank him for what he does for the area. He's a true ambassador for Brixton. This is precisely the kind of authentic, immersive experience you want when exploring a new city or country.

Obi is a warm-hearted person from Brixton who conveys the story authentically and honestly. The food is absolutely delicious, and time flew by!
A must-do for any trip to London!

If you go to London and don't see Obi then you wasted a trip. Your trip to London isn't complete until you do the Brixton history/food tour! I came on the trip and tour by myself but left with new cousins. Do yourself a favor and book this tour so you can see the real London! I promise you won't be disappointed. The food was good but learning the history from one of Brixton's own made this even more special. 1000/10 I highly recommend!

Obi is a gem and this tour is a must! As someone who grew up in Brixton, Obi understands the history and culture of the community which he shares with pride and insight. And the food is amazing- authentic, delicious and abundant. This was a wonderful experience.

This tour did not disappoint and well exceeded my expectations! Obi is an amazing tour guide and an all around great person. I love the way he’s structured the tour, sampling food from various spots in the neighborhood and also giving a deep history of the place he’s grown up and loves. It was like having a cousin showing you around his hometown. By the end of the tour, we were all sharing our life stories and full on food and joy. The cherry on top was meeting Micheal B. Jordan at one of the restaurants during the tour! It was an all around magical day 🥰. I highly recommend this tour and quite frankly any services that Obi offers…it’s well worth it!

This food tour with Obi was amazing. It’s in a very cool neighborhood with a deep and rich history. The food was fabulous, and Obi was an excellent guide—knowledgeable and kind with deep connections to Brixton. One of the best things we did on our last trip to London. I highly recommend this experience.

The Brixton Market with African and Caribbean Cuisine Tour is an absolute must! I thoroughly read reviews prior to booking, so I had high expectations. This experience exceeded that! Communication about the tour, meeting point, weather/attire, etc. was 10/10. The food portions were more generous than what I’ve experienced on other food tours. Obi, the tour operator, is quite detail oriented. I and another person in my tour group happened to both be celebrating birthdays, which Obi did not know prior to our meeting, yet he somehow managed to produce candle lit cake for both of us at the end of the tour!!
The passion, knowledge, and lived experience that Obi has, catapults this from a great food tour into the realm of a moving cultural experience. I love having new experiences during my travels, but whenever I return to London, I will be sure to book a tour with Obi. Bravo, Sir, and thank you for giving of yourself, in this special way, to us travelers.

Obi is a great guide and the tour introduced us to so much more history than we had experienced on previous trips to Brixton. The food was amazing, especially the Jamaican patties! The history of this area of London, the changes that have occurred since the first Windrush arrivals and the recent efforts to gentrify the market leaves a very positive impression about the community. I highly recommend this tour and hope to bring family members who travel to London later this year!

Obi’s tour of Brixton is an absolute must do. Outside of all the food you eat being incredible, it’s truly special learning the history of the area and the culture from somebody that was raised in it and has seen what it was and what it is now.
Obi is super genuine and makes you feel like you’re just meeting up with a buddy to grab some food and catch up. He is so excited to share the history of the culture and it really comes through in the quality of the tour. I would do this again every time I come to London and suggest everyone else do the same. A+ tour A+ person.

10/10 recommend, the food and culture were fantastic, absolutely amazing to learn about Brixton and taste all the food. You will not leave hungry. Obi really goes above and beyond to take care of his guests and feeds you well!
