Recommended here and by a regular visitor to the city. Easy starting point to locate (just outside the city walls). Yes, the ticket is valid for 24hrs, though cannot see many people using that. Tour guide was excellent and readily filled the time when traffic got slower. An excellent starting point for a visit.

great introduction to York. Sat up top where the views were amazing. Our guide was very good as well as funny. Gave us lots of good advice about places to visit.

Very informative reasonable price and very regular. Whenever we go to a new city for a few days we always take a red bud tour, if available . Never been let down yet from Berlin to New York, Toronto to Glasgow.

Both tour guides were very informative- great views of the tourist sites in York - very helpful driver when we wished to get off at The Convent.

We went around the full loop in one go first to get a lay of the land and then stopped at the attractions that most interested us. The guides were excellent, answered any questions and provided information on where to go in the evening for a meal and entertainment. I highly recommend this service. I recommend the crypt of York Minster where the Roman remains can be viewed.

Whenever we visit a new area we look for a bus tour as this is a great way to get a quick overview and to identify sites to visit later. York is seeped in history so the tour is interesting and visits all the obvious sites. Obviously you can get off and on and as the ticket lasts for 24 hours, you could use it for two days.

We enjoyed seeing the sights without lots of walking in between for the little legs in the family. Lots of interesting facts and a lovely, friendly driver complete with dad jokes for every occasion! Great day!

is there more than one bus running? If I hop off at a certain site, how long will it take until a bus can pick me up at that site?

There is a rough time-table available. The major stops are serviced regularly, on minor stops, you may need to make your presence known . Normally buses run about every 15 minutes.

What do you accept as valid student ID? My son is 19 years old and a full-time student at Drew University in New Jersey, USA. He has his Drew student ID so will this be sufficient to show if I get him a student ticket for 13 GBP?
