We had a fantastic time! Mark, our tour guide and drive was great, very knowledgeable about the history of the area and friendly. He went the extra mile and stopped for some scenic landscape for us to take pics. Our first language isn’t english but that wasn’t an issue as Mark speaks very clearly and articulate. He also recommended some great places for food around York which we appreciated as we are a huge foodie!The mini coach is clean and tidy. The only thing I would say is we felt we could do more time at lunch so we could explore the area longer but not a deal breaker. We love the experience and wholeheartedly recommend this and hope to return in future.

Mark is a professional and kind guide who you can trust and happy to hear every word he spoke. It is a comfortable, informative and wonderful appreciation of the beautiful national park and lovely sheep. You must join the tour to experience Mark’s safe and excellent driving skills.

Really excellent day tour well worth the money. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and knew plenty of the locals. Speakers on the bus make it easy to hear the guide’s commentary throughout your time on the road, which is quite a lot of the tour time. You get a mix of history from the pre-historic origins of the Yorkshire Dales, the Tudor era, post-industrial revolution, and recent events like TV shows being filmed and who made the new wood carving by the side of the road, etc. Great combination of “bigger” towns and really remote places to get a look at “traditional life” - good if you want to go back in time a bit.
Really useful for those who can’t rent a car to get to the national park and/or who only have a day to check it out. Don’t expect to be hiking or anything, if that’s what you’re looking for. Most stops were short and around tea rooms, cafes, shops like the oldest candy shop.
The free cheese tasting room at the Wensleydale Creamery was a highlight, as was the fact it was lamb season so there were adorable little lambs everywhere.

So much of this was beyond expectation. A great mix of beautiful scenery, old old churches, gorgeous villages, history and of course All creatures. Our driver was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There was enough time at all the places. Completely unforgettable. Thank you Chris. You were brilliant

The trip was cancelled and we were only informed on the day of the tour because we rung up the company enquiring the bus arrival.
We were initially explained that a voicemail has been left on our mobile but there was none. It turned out that our booking has been completely overlooked by BOBH as it was booked through Tripadvisor. BOBH was totally unaware of our booking before our call, thus there was no voice mail to inform us of the cancellation (even after the transaction has gone through).
However, it was resolved after a couple of stressful phone calls and we got fully refunded.

Thank you for your feedback Elaine. As much as we value everyone’s feedback as we strive to be the best we can be I would like to say I am disappointed to have received a one star review.
I completely understand your frustration as I feel very frustrated about this matter too. However as I explained, the issue was caused due to Viator/TripAdvisor system not talking to our API for your booking despite them being set up to do so and successfully doing so for all of the other bookings we get from them on a weekly basis. Therefore I don’t know how or why your booking did not show on our manifest. In this scenario we simply cannot contact a client we don’t know is there! A complaint from BOBH has been logged with Viator/TripAdvisor and I am awaiting a response. I would really appreciate it if you could raise a complaint with Viator/TripAdvisor yourself as well.
We are so very sorry for the disappointment and the confusion initially caused and this is why we made promise of a discount if you wanted to rebook directly with us in the future.
**EDIT: Viator/TripAdvisor have admitted that it is their fault that your booking was not sent to our API and have fixed the issue on their system. Therefore I would please ask that you take this complaint up with them and reconsider your review. **

We had a great day visiting interesting places and all with one of the best tour guides I have had in all my travels.
Not only was he really friendly but he spoke so clearly and had so much knowledge that we were all super impressed and felt like we learnt so much

The tour took in the most beautiful areas of the Yorkshire Dales and stopped in several lovely villages. Our driver/tour guide, Mark, was very knowledgeable, articulate, warm and fun. When he found out that we are huge fans of the James Herriot books and TV series, he made special stops at several filming sites. The tour was nicely paced, with regular stops at interesting spots for food, bathroom breaks, and historical interest. And the real star was the Dales on bright and beautiful day. Fantastic!

This was a fantastic day, despite the rain (which was expected)! Lee was our guide and he told wonderful stories about the Dales and the history of the area and the manor homes. The scenery is first rate, and all the sheep! My personal favorite part of this tour was the stopover at Wensleydale Creamery. The Cheese! :)

We had so much fun lesarning the history of the area and the park. Our guide was excellent with his knowledge and personality. He talked with every member of the tour as we were traveling and was telling uds the history of everyting we saw throughout the trip. So much fun.
