Small group of 4 had a fantastic time with Cecil our guide. Lots of laughs, easy and safe riding to lots of interesting areas around York. Very knowledgeable, the 2 1/2 hrs flew by. Highly recommend

We would highly recommend this experience. Cecil is a lovely bloke and answers and talks about York with a real passion and knowledge. You actually cycle as well as learn about York and we really enjoyed the morning . The helmets and bikes are in great condition and the traffic parts of the tour at very quickly over . A great 2.5 hrs to see Tork. Thank you

Having read and heard so many fabulous reports of York Cycle Tours, we finally managed to book a tour to celebrate a family gathering in York. It was stunning! Cecil was a most generous, informed and witty guide. The tour was also incredibly well planned, taking us on safe cycle paths to some of the most scenic and historic parts of this beautiful city. We learned so much and, thanks to our brilliant guide, we laughed lots too. I would highly recommend York Cycle Tours for any moderately able- bodied visitor (we ranged in age from mid 70s to mid 20s!). It was so much more fun than sitting in a tour bus. Thank you Cecil for an amazing day out!

Biking an absolutely perfect way to see very bike-friendly York, which is not too big. Our guide Cecil could not have been more pleasant or full of stories to tell about this chocolate capital. Was a gorgeous day, to boot! The ride lasted a little over 2 and 1/2 hours. So fun!

As a family of 6 we booked our tour the day before. It was really easy to book and to find and Cecil was waiting for us. He fitted our bikes and offered helmets and off we went.
We spent an amazing few hours meandering around York with Cecil guiding us and answering our questions: we’ve been to York before but we got to see areas that were off the beaten track.
You don’t need to be a serious cyclist as such, this tour is suitable for anyone who can cycle.
We had a brilliant morning: highly recommended as a way to see a different side to this amazing city.

Can't recommend Cecil and the York Cycling Tour gang highly enough! What a truly memorable, fun and informative few hours we had this weekend, discovering new bits of York I'd never seen and learning a whole host of fascinating history and info. We were a slightly larger group than normal but Cecil accommodated us perfectly and was relaxed and humorous throughout. Can't wait to return with my teens now!

Absolutely great time with our guide Cecil, he was so knowledgable & clearly enjoys what he does.

We had a lovely couple of hours riding up and down the streets of York! Cecil was a great tour guide and was able to offer insights into the history of the city from ghost sightings to chocolate makers, highway men to millionaire business men, the makings of the minster and so much more! We will 100% be recommending the tour to others!

We enjoyed a great few hours discovering parts of York that we never would have on foot.
Cecil was a friendly, fun and highly knowledgeable guide with a real passion for the city. As a result of the tour we were able to plan which parts of the city we wanted to explore in more detail.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

I want to book this cycle tour but want to be prepared as I read some of the places we visit it states you need a ticket! Do we purchase these in advance or when we get there or do we not go into the places that need tickets? Thanks in advance.

Are you taking bookings post COVID-19 ? Site states there is availability but I can’t proceed with payment??
We would like to tour on Thursday 9th July 2020 we have our own bikes & helmets etc if that helps

Hi just wondered what availability is like for booking closer to the time - I am a fairweather cyclist so I don't want to book before the weather forecast!

In March we booked a night or two before and had no problems. I guess it depends on the month and your desire for definitely doing it. Light rain is fine. Wind and heavy rain are not nice, but less likely now.
