Stunning inside and out. Loved the greenhouses. Cafe sold marvellous food, good portions. Lots to choose from. Staff very friendly throughout.

A wonderful step back in time. Winterbourne House and Garden is easily accessible by Train - University Station - and is a very pleasant way to spend an hour or two wandering around the house and gardens, followed by Afternoon Tea in the cafe.

Lovely experience visiting the house with my adult daughter and getting back in time. It is fascinating to see the lifestyle of that period. The entire house is perfectly maintained. The gardens are a gem. I could have spent several hours enjoying the plants and taking photos of them. One could also enjoy the nice cafe.

Delighted to have visited the house and gardens. A lovely Arts and Crafts house with interesting furniture, displays and history the gardens are delightful, with great variety and a real pleasure to explore. Tea room/cafe pretty good and sitting on the terrace with a sand which was lovely

It was one of the lovely places to visit in Birmingham. The garden is full of plants and trees beautifully segregated according to regions and continents across the world. The walk in the nearby forest walks and the lakes with beautiful birds is worth a day spending here. Not to forget about the tea house and its scones and tea. Must visit with family

Definitely a jewel in Birmingham's crown. The arts and crafts house is really interesting with different exhibitions and is worth a good look at. But the gardens are the triumph there. Such a variety of areas to enjoy. The walled garden is great, lots of different veg and flowers. But there is so much more to explore, the arid and hot houses are wonderful and lots of hidden areas too. If you are a garden fan then don't miss this experience - the best in Birmingham! Excellent gift shop, second hand bookshop and cafe, you could be there for hours!

Yes they do have one serving drinks and snacks most of the day but with an extended menu hot food from 12 to 3. I found the tearoom quite good and reasonably priced. The times are on their web site.

Give them a call. They are very friendly and will be able to tell you if there are events taking place.
I've never had a problem gaining access but I have always spoken to the staff in advance if I want to visit with a group. One of the charming things about the place is it is not a vast site - not tiny either but just right. The tea room does get very full at times (lovely cakes) but there is a big, sunny terrace at the rear.
