I did two different tours (south Wales and the one with Caerphilly Castle, Tintern Abbey...) so I got two wonderful days seeing different parts of Wales. The guide is really knowledgeable and down to earth. He knows a lot about history so there was always extra info to get along the bus ride to our next stop.

Gareth is a very approachable tour guide. He is great to chat with. He will answer any and all questions and it doesn't feel like he is attached to any specific script. Instead, it feels like he is adapting to his audience and their interests. He was also very accommodating regarding pickups and even timings.
The locations are definitely great picks. Highlights are the beautiful Abbey and the striking Caerphilly.

Wanted to get out of Cardiff for a day and this was perfect. Plenty of time at each stop and Gareth was outstanding and very knowledgeable. The fact that he had a degree in history probably helps. It was less like a lecture and more like a discussion. I would highly recommend this tour.

Gareth is the BEST tour guide!! He is a native of Swansea and his love for South Wales is readily apparent. Also…he went out of his way for me in finding and driving us to the site of my grandparents’ wedding in 1926. Which was hard to find because the site and street of that wedding was destroyed by bombshells in 1940. I recommend Gareth most highly.

It's been a lovely birthday present by a friend of mine. I was so happy... I'm from Sicily so I really appreciated this tour... greenier and greenier this land full of narure, castles, myths and attractive guys (see pictures 😁) is in my heart. Peace. Very interesring stories told by our guide, and very nice people from around the world. I filled my lungs with good air, my eyes with landscapes and castels and my mind with peace. Loads of pictures. Several lovely doggies crossed with their owners, all of them happy for a cuddle and one even stroke a pose.
I certanly recomend this tour.
P. S I've posted here other visitors' dog because I think you all have to see how gorgeous this guy was. It was not on this tour, though.

Gareth was an amazing tour guide!! He had some of the best stories about Wales, knew a ton of history and taught of some of the Welsh language and the history behind it. He was really fun and gave us tips on what to do during our stops! We would highly recommend going with Gareth on a tour of Wales as he was one of the best tour guides we had on our trip over here!!

Despite of the rain we had a lovely day visiting the wonders of Cardiff with The Bard Gareth, a very experienced driver and guide with lots of knowledge, absolute recommended by the Dutchies from Rotterdam.

Amazing day out! Gareth was friendly and knowledgeable. He choose wonderful locations to take us to and even threw in a bonus castle at the end !! The tour was nicely planned without feeling rushed at any point.

My Mother (80 yrs old and very active) and I had a delightful small group tour today with The Wandering Bard! Visited an historical Abbey and 3 Castles all in a 7 hour tour leaving from Cardiff.
Gareth and our group of 7 total guests had lovely conversions about Wales and its history. Plenty of time after the second castle to grab lunch at a local pub. Ordered a share plate and had tons of road snacks leftover!!
Would highly recommend Gareth’s tour!

I am looking to book a tour on April 30th one is Swansea with a local and the other is Valley adventure-
Does the valley adventure also include hotel pickup - I am staying at the Cardiff Marriott on mill lane - looking to see what the closest pick up point is and which one you would recommend
