Gleann gave us a first class tour, moving expertly from the wider history of Derry seen from a Walls walk into the Bogside story of the late 20th century. Adaptable, humorous, and engaged with all of our questions; very professional. Would recommend 100%

Whilst on a stay in Belfast, I was told by a friend that if at all possible, we should try and fit in a Derry walking Bloody Sunday tour.
And I am so glad that we did.
We arranged to meet Gleann and he was fantastic.
Living in the area, he had first had experience of the events leading up to Bloody Sunday as well as some sad personal experience of the outcome.
Despite this, he gave a very impartial view and tailored the tour to our expectations.
To stand in areas where so much carnage and bloodshed took place and to now see children playing there is a strange feeling and hopefully those dark days will never return.
Thank you Gleann for a fantastic tour.
We really found all the information fascinating.
And I am so glad that we did.

I can't recommend this experience highly enough!
After carefully considering our options, I chose this tour and got in touch with the company months ahead of our visit to Derry. I knew I wanted the chance to learn about both the modern history, and centuries past. I was aware that our stay in Derry would be brief...little did I know, thanks to cancelled and delayed flights, even briefer than originally planned! With that background information, I can honestly say this was the best way to spend two hours in Derry, a moving and informative personalized experience that was absolutely worth every penny!
Lára, our guide, was so welcoming and personable, we'd have gladly spent all day with her. She knows the city history and layout like the back of her hand - the official stories, the complicated truths, and the little-known incidentals that really make the past come alive. My husband and I were both moved to tears more than once. Thank you, Lára!

Glean, guide sympatique, connaissant parfaitement son sujet. Emouvant aussi, car son père fut l'une des victimes du Bloody Sunday. Pourtant, possède le recul nécessaire pour raconter et expliquer sans parti pris. Bravo et merci.

This tour was fantastic. We were traveling through Derry & stopped for the afternoon. I reached out to Gleann to make a reservation for a tour. Given that we were only in Derry a few hours & wanted to maximize our time, he suggested a combination of the Derry Walls & Bogside tour. It was perfect. Lara our guide was very knowledgeable & answered so many questions. We learned so much on this tour, especially about the personal side of the historic conflict and even implications today. Highly recommend!!!

What a fantastic experience this whole tour was. An excellent learning experience well worth it. We learned so much from the tour guide Làra who was excellent at her job she had a wealth of knowledge of everything relating to Bloody Sunday and the walls. She was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about everything and happy to spend time explaining everything in as much detail as required.
