A superb experience!
Alan and David were fantastic hosts - entertaining, knowledgable and super friendly.
You learn all about the gin making process, the history, ingredients etc.
A hundred or more botanicals to sample and use in your own gin.
You use your own little still, weigh your choice of botanicals and bottle and label your gin.
There were lots of gin and tonics provided and samples of all the gins they make.
Thoroughly recommend!

We found ourselves in Aberdeen on a cold and rainy day so our plans to stroll around town were a bit foiled. We decided to check out the distillery and as luck would have it we stumbled in just before a gin making class was about to start. I was a little leery about the price but I’m glad that didn’t stop me - it was WELL worth it.
Alan and Dan are personable, hospitable, funny and knowledgeable. The three hour class moved quickly and efficiently and it seemed like we were never not sipping some of their awesome gin. We got to pick out our own flavors for the gin we were to make, and then watch our little personal still create it. It was all lots of fun and we wound up leaving with our own bottles of gin.

We had an amazing time. We learned a great deal about gin from Allan and Don, and we even got to make our own gin from scratch with assistance from Allan and Don. They had over 100 botanicals from which to choose and the owners assisted with how flavors might mix. A great way to spend the day.

Hands Down my husband and I had the best time. First of all the gin they make is amazing. I didn't know much about gin but I came out of the experience feeling like I know quite a bit! With the owners guidance they helped us make our own gin and it turned out awesome! Such a fun and unique experience by far the best thing we did in Aberdeen!

Alan & Dan we’re great hosts, very knowledgeable and helpful. We did the gin school experience with lots of tastings and then made our own custom gin to take away.

The Gin School Experience from start to finish was more than expected. Firstly Dan and Alan greeted everyone as they came in. Dan made everyone a lovely gin and remembered I preferred lemonade to tonic when I visited earlier in May for the gin tasting. Alan then began his history lesson. It was so informative about how their venture started, Aberdeen distilleries from the past and much much more. The actual experience of making your own gin was so good from the start to the finishing product.
If you stay in the city or shire or are a visitor to Aberdeen I would recommend the gin experience!

We weren’t sure what to expect. The gin school and commercial distillery is housed in an old railway arch which has been stunningly converted while retaining original features. Upon arrival, we had a very warm welcome with a lovely gin while we waited for class participants to assemble. This was followed by a highly informative talk about the long history of distilling, the origins of gin and distilleries which used to be in Aberdeen. We then moved to the rear of the buildings where commercial distillation takes place to learn about the process. This was all really interesting and entertaining. Then to the fun part - making your own gin! With a choice of well over 100 botanicals, we each selected what we liked with expert guidance from Dan and Alan. While our stills worked their magic we were treated to more gin tastings before cutting the distillation and bottling our own 70cl bottle of gin. I highly recommend this as a couples, friends or even business team building event. Best fun in Aberdeen. Well done & thanks for s fabulous afternoon! Jon & Sue
