Dear swjumbo Thank you on behalf of the Peterhead Prison Museum for your review and recommendation, and I am delighted to see you were "blown away by the experience and still thinking about it". I am so pleased to see the experience had such an impact on you and your comparison to your visits to Alcatraz is very much appreciated and does link to similar feedback we have received over the years'. However, in relation to your lovely comments they have indeed blown me away and that of the team. The detail of your visit has clearly shown me our offering has had a huge impact on you and I am delighted to advise more exhibits will be opening in time, however in the short term I think our latest offering at the weekends may be of great interest to you entitled "A View from Above". I wont give too much away, but sense this will be another exceptional experience for you should you decide to come along. In relation to the "stench" we do try to not only tease visitors visual and audio senses but equally the olfactory sense to bring the reality of prison life to the forefront. Similar to the "smells in the laundry" I am afraid the "dirty protest" exhibit also brings with it a certain aroma to show visitors what staff had to deal with on a regular basis within these walls. Thank you once again for a wonderful review which has touched the whole team and we now look forward to welcoming you back again in the future so we can again turn your moments with us into memories.
