Excellent guided tour in Edinburgh

As I only had 1,5 days in Edinburgh I decided to take this walking tour to make the most out of it and don't waste time going through maps and guidebooks ;) it was so worth it, I feel like this was THE best guided tour I did in any city I went to! David won over with profound knowledge of the city, history and architecture, and his lovely sense of humour. Thanks a lot, also for the advice concerning restaurants, shops etc. (had a wonderful dinner thanks to your advice)!

Brilliant tour of The Royal Mile & lots more. David provided a great historical and architectural tour of old Edinburgh with many stories of the characters through time. Very entertaining and informative. Thanks David, will have that drink with you next time!

Great welcome to Edinburgh
What a fabulous introduction to the history, architecture and culture of Old Edinburgh. Alison was unflagging in her enthusiasm for her beautiful city and her story telling, knowledge and care created a fascinating tour.

Wonderful tour of the Royal Mile

Our guide, David, was so knowledgeable of the history and architecture of the city that we loved soaking it in! It's obvious he has a passion for history. We definitely recommend his tour of the Royal Mile on one of your first days in the city.

Taking a Royal Mile Tour with Stuart Usher was our most memorable experience in Edinburgh. Stuart is the epitome of a Scottish Guide - witty & first hand knowledge of corners & places, weaved together with in depth knowledge of Scottish history. Ever the gentleman Stuart was attune to the safety and comfort of his tour group. He engaged his small tour group of 12, both asking and answering questions of places along the Royal Mile. This was an informative and enjoyable 3 hour walk that brought Scotland’s past to life.

One of the best tours ever!

Just finished our walking tour of Edinburgh with Alison. First off you have to see Edinburgh on foot. The only way to see the nooks and crannies. Having a tour with a trained historian who brings history to life with her amazing stories and descriptions of historical events was a real joy. Literally one of the best guides I’ve ever had.

This tour was a wonderful way to walk around Edinburgh and learn about the city and its history. Our tour guide was Douglas and he was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. It is totally worth the three hours!

Excellent tour!

I have been on many walking tours in many cities in Europe. This was absolutely one of the very top experiences I have had. Mr Forsythe was extremely knowledgeable, amusing, and all-around a joy to hear.
