Our private tour of Edinburgh this spring was incredible. Our guide, David, did a wonderful job at going into detail with the history buffs in our group, as well as keeping it fun and light for the non-history buff in our group (the one writing this review). We would certainly recommend this tour and David as your guide. We got to see attractions from several viewpoints, and the tour was overall very thorough.

Our private walking tour of Edinburgh was awesome and surprisingly short. We booked a 1/2 day tour and thought at first it may have been too long.
Our guide, Douglas Graham, certainly taught us how wrong we were. We couldn't believe how fast the tour went by, how little we knew and what we would have missed walking on our own. Douglas was funny, engaging and knowledgeable. We highly recommend the experience.

Ask for Douglas Graham! He is very knowledgeable and a great story teller! He is hilarious and the valedictorian of his class at Oxford! Hands down, the best guide we have ever had.

We brought a group of university students to Edinburgh and highly recommend this experience. The company was more than accommodating with finding a time for our group and the number that we had. Our guide, Douglas, was absolutely fantastic. I've hired guides many many times and he is in the top 5%. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of energy for our first day in Edinburgh. We especially liked his singing! Can't say enough good things. We will hire him again.

We did a private walking tour with Dr. Allison, who was an amazing guide. The private tour was great and I would strongly recommend it. The price for a private tour I think was very fair and we had them add on tickets to the castle. I appreciate that Dr. Allison was willing and able to answer all our questions, especially since we had some history buffs in the group.
We did this on our 1st full day in Edinburgh, which I would recommend to others. It was a good way to understand the history of the city and allowed us to better appreciate the rest of our stay.
If you are looking for a good tour - this is the one to book and if you can afford to do a private tour - do it.

We had a fantastic day with Alison. Her enthusiasm and passion for Scottish history and Edinburgh made the day fly by. She is extremely knowledgeable and articulate and thoroughly enjoyable. She is an absolute gem!

Perfect way to spend the afternoon. Stuart took us off the beaten path and told us about the many local historic sites and figures, highlighting both their social contributions and their sordid tales. Stuart is such a fountain of wisdom with great wit and personality. His personal experiences and perspective made for a unique and insightful walk that completely distracted us from the gusty weather. Highly recommend!

Hello - I am very interested in booking a tour for the 4 of us who will be coming to Edinburgh for the first time in October. I wonder how rigorous is the 3.5 hour tour - are there places to rest or sit down at a few intervals? Is it possible to sit and have coffee during a break, for example, or is it straight for 3.5 hours, no resting? We are all relatively fit senior citizens. Thank you.

Hi there, it's a leisurely stroll, with stops along the way. There's also a break in the middle for a coffee, snack, etc.. The guides are also very accommodating.
