Lovely steady wooded walk upto the monument from the car park. The walk up the monument is not easy the spiral staircase is narrow and with 240 steps its a task. I advise stopping in each of the rooms on the way up and having a breather. It's well worth it when reaching the top and the views are stunning, could maybe do with a guide at the top to point out the surrounding areas and history. Saying that it's well worth the visit.

To endure the climb up the staircase whilst squeezing past people coming down requires a bit of fortitude, especially when mobility is limited due to arthritic hips. That said, once you reach the top the pain is forgotten as you are surrounded by beauty in every direction. There are floors to be viewed as you ascend which can break up your journey and allow you to sit and gaze at stained glass and history.

Great trip to the monument, free parking. Handy mini bus up to the site, as bit of a steep climb. The trip to the top is 264 stairs via a very narrow spiral staircase. Not for the faint hearted or claustrophobic!! Beautiful stain glass windows and information on each floor. Fantastic views from the top. Amazing building.

Booked a timed slot beforehand. We'll worth it. Take the time to take in all the exhibits. Great views from the top. Punishing on the calfs though. I wonder when they will fit a lift :0)

Clever, creative exhibition, decent gift shop, extremely clean and well organised venue, friendly and helpful staff. Spectacular views. Not to be missed!
