We contacted and booked with Scott very last minute but that was not a problem for him and he set us up with our guide Mark, we didn't know what to expect but we had a great experience with it snowing at the bottom of the mountain with the sun breaking through the clouds as we reached the top. We would highly recommend Kirkhope Mountaineering for any adventure in the Highlands.

My fiancé & I climbed Ben Nevis yesterday with the guide called Levi. Levi was absolutely incredible & with his skills & knowledge of the mountains, we managed to reach the summit in windy, tricky conditions . Levi was very helpful & explained at each part of the mountain, what to expect, what kit to use, how to use it, what the weather conditions would be like & how important it is with your layers of clothing etc. What an amazing experience to achieve & wouldnt have been able to do it in those conditions without a guide. Thank you!

Really well organised. Good communication and preparation advice from Scott, with provision of equipment. Guide James very friendly, knowledgeable and took things at our pace. Had every confidence in his navigation skills making it to the summit in a whiteout.

I had an absolutely fantastic time hiking up Ben Nevis with John. He tailored the route for me as he considered my level of experience in hiking/trail running which made the trip a perfect challenge for me (while having lots of fun). We hiked up from the North Face and descended via the tourist route, which allowed me to see the other side of the mountain too. I thoroughly enjoyed the hike, and learnt a lot about the flora and the history of the area.

Scott guided us expertly across the Aonach Eagach ridge with its phenomenal views and knee- trembling drops. We’re all in our early 60s with no significant mountaineering/climbing experience but felt completely safe. Scott was friendly and accommodating to our needs throughout the process from booking to completion. He supplied helmets, ropes and harnesses which all looked very new! From explaining that there wasn’t a large grassy picnic site on the ridge, to information on geology and the local fauna, Scott was very knowledgeable. He also spotted the Brocken spectre (rainbow shadow) seen in the photo. This company & the trip come highly recommended by us all. Don’t expect a picnic & you need a head for heights!

My guide was Iain, amazing young chap, informative and brilliant at his job, very patient and encouraging to someone not accustomed to hill walking. I could not have asked for a better guide.

We wanted to do a more challenging route up Ben Nevis but thought it wise to seek a professional for the scrambling and navigation. Scott took us up Ledge Route away from the crowds and walked us through each section-- pointing out tricky areas and giving us an idea of what to expect. Communication from Scott was excellent, we started our hike on time, and he was patient as we began to tire and need breaks. We felt like we were in good hands from start to finish and I'd highly recommend Scott to anyone wanting to enjoy a hike with the added safety of his advice and experience.

A wonderful hike with a truly inspiring guide (Aisla) on an unexpectedly very sunny day. With a 1315m incline over 8kms (Fort Wiliams is at approx 30 m above sea level), this is a good workout! And well worth the effort! Something I have been looking to do for years - so grateful for the great company and stunning views!

Scott took my son-in-law and I on the Ledge Route. Professional and engaging company, Scott explained the route and landscape as we went along, coached on scrambling and safety and was very patient. I feel I can thoroughly recommend Scott.
