Excellent adventure. This tour company is very conscientious and thorough. A wonderfully organized day with no wasted time. Saw the beauty of Kerry while hearing about its history. Highly recommend Irish Rail Tours.

The ring of Kerry is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The tour guides Paddy Mcardle, Richard, Norman and Brian and Sian the driver were so informative and accommodating. We spread my mothers ashes at the ring of Kerry and Norman was so helpful in helping us find the best spot. Highly recommend. The sheep/dog herding show was the icing on the cake

Lovely tour of the Ring of Kerry and spectacular Irish Countryside. Our Host Paddy MCardle was an incredible host and true ambassador of all that is magical in Ireland. The sheep herding expedition was entertaining and Lunch stop was grand.

Had a fantastic day yesterday on this tour. The scenery was breathtaking and everything was organized exceptionally well. Our tour guide, John Todd, was a lovely fellow and made 100% sure we were looked after the whole way.

Our journey started off by meeting our very punctual, amusing, helpful and knowledgeable tour guide John Todd at the Heuston station in Dublin. He gave us the perfect run through of itinerary and made our train transitions pleasant and effortless, leaving us with plenary of useful information about the history of ring of Kerry and all the stops we we’re about to see. Second tour guide-Batt, on the bus was also amazing, fun, knowledgeable and an expert driver. Ring of Kerry trip was worth the money, sights of the Atlantic as well as Killarney, Waterville (where Charlie Chaplin stayed), Dingle Bay etc. Every recommendation for this trip and the agency.

We enjoyed the ring of Kerry. Bus was way too small and driver extremely rough.

The tour director that met us in Dublin was great - went thru itinerary for day with each traveling group. However, he left us once we got bus in Killarney. From there on, tour felt very rushed and not enough time at any one location. The tour operator stopped us for a "surprise", which was to pay to watch a farmer with his sheep dogs herd the sheep down azhillside. Felt like little side hustle of tour guide. Not worth the stop (or 7EU per person) or the other stop for "homemade" ice cream after lunch. Would have prefered to have this time to walk around killarney park rather than just drive through it or have more time at lunch (which was VERY rushed).
The tour guide was not very good - he swore quite a bit and was not very helpful nor friendly.

John Todd was an amazing guide and we had a great trip on the Ring of Kerry route. The best part was taking the train from Dublin to Killerny with John, who was always there by our side so that we could travel stress free.

We enjoyed the train ride. Our guides Ian and Brian made it an enriching experience with their expertise and knowledge. Both of them were very warm and hospitable.

Apparently only 7 people booked this trip so the operator subcontracted to another. Our rail guide didn't join us for the actual bus trip for the Ring of Kerry and only accompanied us on the train. He said it wasn't the company tour so he couldn't join us on the van (?) - there was plenty of space. He also said he was a "volunteer" retired person and didn't get paid for the day (in other words, please give gratuity). Once we got to the Ring of Kerry coach tour, our driver/guide (subcontractor) was rather taciturn and only announced stops. There was no commentary, no history, stories, etc. and frankly, he seemed like he was rather put out on having to drive us for the day. We stopped at some type of pub where we could opt to buy Irish coffee and go to a very sorry-looking museum. We also mostly stopped off at shops. This was a very long day (15+ hours). Frankly, I could've purchased the rail tickets on my own and made the trip and booked a local tour upon arrival at Ring of Kerry. It was a waste of time and money. The weather was not great but the 15+ hours could've been a lot more enjoyable. We did enjoy chatting with other folks in the group, who were pretty cool. This was by far the worst tour I've been on all over the world.

I thought you had a tour that has the train ride from Dublin to Killarney and then the Ring of Kerry tour for the NEXT day. We are staying in Killarney for several days and don't want to do a round trip tour from Dublin all in one day.
You are right - We do! Tour DH05AN. You leave Dublin by train at 1500hrs (3pm) and arrive Killarney at 6.30pm - overnight, and tour the Ring of Kerry the following day.
