Avoid this company at all costs. Booked two bikes for 9AM in the middle of August (height of tourist season). Arrived at 9AM and nobody was there. Telephoned several times and no reply.
Thankfully we managed to find the other bike hire place at the Coach House where the staff were professional and helpful.
Four hours after sending an email explaining the situation and requesting a refund I eventually received a reply with a half hearted apology for “any inconvenience” but absolutely no explanation. We have heard that not showing up is a regular occurrence for this business.

We worked with Ancient Ireland Tourism and had an outstanding trip to Ireland including Derry, Dublin, Belfast and Donegal. Ted Lloyd of the company worked with us to craft an excellent agenda - a mixture of historic, cultural and scenic experiences. I will definitely use him again when I travel to Eire!

Extremely rude staff. Arrived in Dungarvan to be informed bikes were in Waterford. No alternative bikes offered in Dungarvan. Was willing to wait for returns but told that we would have to wait for 5 hours at least and no guarantee of getting a bike. Paid 100 for 4 bikes we didn’t get. No alternative bikes offered, no refund. Would never book with them again. Avoid at all costs! Greenway beautiful but book bikes elsewhere.

I would not recommend this company. Stay away. I booked a bike for 10 o clock. Got there on time. No staff there. I rang the mobile phone number on the door., no answer. I rang four times in the next hour and my friend aslo rang we kept on getting voice mail.Nowhere on the website was there a phone number. At 11 o clock two more people turned up they has a different number which i rang. The man who answered did not know about my booking refused to believe i turned up at 10 and said he did not recieve any missed callS. He was very unplesent towards me. I was then given a bike which was not fit for purpose. Rather then spoil my friends day i set off on the bike. Ten miles out the road i had to turn around and return the bike. My day was spoilt. We were one and a half hours late setting off ,i had been lied to about the phone calls and my bike was not fit for purpose. I would not recoumand this company. It was a horrible experience.

We were a group of 9 who rented bikes for ages 8 to 75, including electric & hybrid bikes. We picked up in Dungarvan right near the Quay & cycled to Kilmacthomas where the bikes were picked up by van. There was no shuttle bus back to Dungarvan but we had left 2 cars at Kilmacthomas Greenway carpark. There was also public bus available. The staff were excellent and so helpful. One of the hybrid bike pedals broke near the Ballyvoyle tunnel & within a very short period of time a replacement bike was brought to the nearby Durrow carpark. Loved the hybrid adult bikes so easy to cycle. We got 2 free child bikes with the hire of 4 adult bikes (2 + 1 free) on the Aug deal that was running. This 22km stretch of Greenway was beautiful with highlights of Ballyvoyle tunnel, Clonea beach & Kilmacthomas viaduct. There were portaloos (not clean & no soap) & good coffee halfway (after Durrow carpark). The Coach House in Kilmacthomas is highly recommended for food. Will be back to do more of the Waterford Greenway in future & would use this bike hire company again.

A day trip, starting at 09:20am in Waterford, getting to Dungarvan at 12:08pm, lunch, and back to Waterford for approx. 04:40pm. We had a great time, even though it was 92km of cycling in total. The terrain isn't challenging even for likes of us - who came totally unprepped (last time we cycled was almost a year ago, back in August 2022).
The Waterford Greenway is very scenic and pleasant route, with plenty of stops if you need them. There is a great café called Signal Box half way through the route, in Kilmacthomas. Coffee is just great there and so are home made cakes (we opted for red velvet, which was just wow).

Went on the Greenway today with our daughter and her husband. They had rented their bikes from John and we had brought along our own bikes. When our daughter and her hubby dropped their rental bikes back to the shop in Dungarvan, we asked more in desperation than hope if our bikes could be transported back to Waterford, whilst we got the bus. Without a moment’s hesitation John agreed and wouldn’t take a penny in remuneration! Great generous attitude and it will certainly make us consider using Waterford Greenway Cycle Tours and Rental when next we’re in these parts.

Thanks to John at Waterford Greenway cycle for making our trip so enjoyable and hassle free. Picked up a hybrid and electric in Waterford and took them to Dungarvan. Great day cycling and first class service!!

Very highly rated greenway cycle and Waterford greenway cycle hire company has excellent customer service..many thanks to Stephen who gave us some great tips and went out of his way to ensure a very pleasurable experience cycling from Kilmacthomas to Dungarvon..highly recommend this cycle hire company and look forward to a return visit..thanks Stephen
