很棒的香槟半日游
我们通过兰斯游客中心提供的信息预订了半天的香槟之旅。我们的导游Valentin清晨接上我们，带着我们参观了两家小型香槟酿造商，了解香槟的知识，品尝了六种香槟。Valentin的知识丰富、非常友好，他还带我们在埃佩尔奈和周围风景优美的村庄看葡萄酒园，还去了香槟之父唐佩里侬的修道院。我和朋友及来自美国的一对夫妇一起度过了美好的半天，增长了很多关于香槟的知识。强烈推荐。

An entertaining and informative morning in the Champagne countryside. Our group of 8 from England, Australia, Latin American and US were fun and the tour itself a great balance of experiences, tastings and teaching by Anna, our excellent guide. The small producer format makes for a special and intimate feel. At the second stop they had just started the 2023 harvest and we watched them press Chardonnay grapes. The owner brought us the just pressed juice to taste. Anna conducted the tour with, knowledge, humor and elegance. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time! Alex was very knowledgeable about champagne making process and he was very friendly. And of course the champagne was excellent!

Our host for the afternoon was extremely knowledgeable and explained the champagne process in an easy to understandable way. Two champagne houses and the grave of Dom Perignon ( very interesting storey there) were include in a comfortable drive to areas you would normally see. The six champagnes were great to compare. Overall an enjoyable half day and professionally delivered.

My dad and I had the pleasure of having Ana as our guide in May 2023 for the half day tour. She took our group to two champagne houses where we had 3 tastings each. She was a great guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and the houses. I highly recommend this tour if you are short on time and have a desire to see the Champagne region.

Anne was a super knowledgeable host with so much education behind her that made the tour super interesting and we learnt even more despite having done a different type of tour the day before

My mother and I had a great time on this trip, our guide, Alex, was fantastic and really knowledgeable. Was great visiting two of the smaller Champagne houses in the region, where we got to taste a good variety of Champagne. Definitely worth the trip from Paris.

We were collected from Reims Station by Ana who was very knowledgeable about all things champagne. Our vehicle was a nice Mercedes and we were offered bottles of water on what was a warm day.
Frustratingly Ana spoke to the bus on the journey to Epernay but, as she was facing the front, those behind her struggled to hear everything. I am a bit 'mutton' (as we say in the UK) but I don't think those in the back row behind me could hear her either...
Two good visits to small producers Maitre Geoffroy and Michel Fagot interspaced with a drop in to Hautvillier (tomb of Dom Perignon) and a nearby viewpoint out onto the amazing valley where we talked about the vines that stretched out in all directions.
We tasted 3 champagnes at Maitre Geoffrey including a really nice Rosé (pink) after venturing into the chalk cellars. Michel Faggot was a more touristy visit in a specially constructed area built around their traditional grape press. Here we tasted the local meunier grape champagne which we really like having had it before from anover . They only make 500 bottles so it retails at €70+ so the taste was shared between couples which surprised me on a €100 tour.
Overall I think this was an excellent introduction to champagne and the region, all it was missing was a visit to Épernay/Champagne Avenue.
(We returned under our own steam to Maitre Geoffrey later in the week and bought a mixed case to compliment our Jacquinot and Volleraux purchases).
