I have no idea what was the point of calling this a "class" as there was absolutely no real teaching of how to make croissants. I had gone in trying to figure out how to fold and roll out the croissants and not much information was passed along- just that he used a pasta maker machine. Absolute waste of money and would NOT reccomend. 2 others in the "class" agreed they though we were going to get hands on. Scoring a baguette does not count. Neither does beating a ball of dough once.

A great intro in French bread baking, Didier was so dedicated and fun, a highlight of my trip. Boy a no short cut baker providing a great event with so many key techniques to get a perfect result depending on weather, amazing

My granddaughter and I took this class and really enjoyed it. In addition to learning the different types of baguettes and how to make them we also learned how to make croissants

In der "Footo Croissantery" in Vancouver in der Hamilton Street in Downtown gibt es die besten Croissants ever. Ich habe selbst in Frankreich keine besseren gegessen. Der Teig wird frisch gemacht und beim Ausrollen kann man zuschauen. Die Auswahl für so ein kleines Cafe ist erstaunlich groß. Es gibt auch Frühstückspakete. Ein Hochgenuss zum Frühstück.

Quite frankly...the whole experience was amazing. From the historical information on the baguette and croissant to the actual learning of the preparation and baking of the bread shared by Master Baker Didier, there was no low point. I'll take it back...the one low point was that the class passed by so fast, we felt like we should have booked a second class. If you are considering this activity, don't hesitate, book it. The baking class has been a highlight of our nearly 10-days in France.

Carlos greeted us at the door to his apartment building. He was well prepared for our class with measured ingredients for the almond blend, the merengue and the chocolate ganache. It was only a class of us three and he explained Marie Antoinette’s fascination with these treats and taught us the secrets to success. The end results were delicious. Carlos gave us a plastic box to take home about 2 dozen extra macarons and put in our hotel room muni- fridge. This class in the Marais, ATEN -TE -AUTE, was the only 2 her. Class we could find. It was plenty of time to learn how to make microns and enjoy tasting them. Carlos is a patient and fun teacher!!

This class was a highlight of my trip. Didier has a lovely cheeky nature and a genuine passion for teaching about the history and baking of croissants and baguettes. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and can highly recommend. Also I don’t speak any French and appreciated the wonderful tour organiser who interpreted so well.

My husband and I had a great time in this class. Didier is very knowledgeable, a great teacher, and has a wicked sense of humor. He was very encouraging. Historically, my husband has been the baker and I've been the cook but the class made me more excited to try my hand at baking.

I booked this tour and the funds came out of my bank but I never received an email confirming anything or giving instruction. What do I do? I don’t see any contact info or anything

I would contact Trip Advisor and let them make contact with them. If you booked your class several weeks or months in advance they may not send you information until closer to time of the class.

Yes. There is an interpreter there with you at all times. It was a very fun class and highly recommend it.
