Desert class with chef Christian was delightful! Made some new friends and made some lovely simple deserts for home cooking, entertaining. Very knowledgeable and practice with tons of tips to adjust and customize the recipes. Very worth the value!

This was excellent father-daughter experience. The chef was very knowledgable, personable, and had a great sense of humor. He interacted with my 12-year-old just as well as he did with the adults in our small class. He spoke fluent English, and even e-mailed us his recipes for each of the desserts - which were all delicious! He even went above & beyond by calling a taxi for the other American couple (who were too afraid to take the Paris Metro, which had a stop only a block or two away). If I ever return to Paris, I'd like to book a class with him again for my other kids to attend!

I have never rated anytjing on Trip Advisor, but I chose to in the case because this class is way too expensive and we didn’t learn anything. It is a complete waste of time. Our group was 2 adults and a 14 yo girl, and although our host was very friendly, he basically taught us how to crack eggs and stir dough. The level is for 5-8 year olds. We stood and watched the teacher for the most part, or watched each other preform the most basic tasks. We paid for three hours but finished after 2h20. The host took my email address and said that he would email me recipes, but has not. This class is a joke and we were shocked that it is advertised as “French cooking class: dessert and pastries” because that description is an overstatement. We should get a refund, (but that will never happen) as the class is nothing as advertised. Admittedly this is not the host’s fault. The class is just falsely advertised so please, avoid anything associated with this company.

We're sorry to hear that you feel that your cooking class fell short of expectations, and that you were dissatisfied with your experience. The class is adapted for all levels of experience; it seems from your review that you were expecting something that was more adapted to experienced bakers rather than beginners, and for this we apologize; should you participate in another cooking class, don't hesitate to inform the instructor of any previous experience and skill. As for the fact that that you only just watched, this may come from a cultural difference; in France, instructors typically do not invite students to participate for fear of putting them "on the spot," and those who wish to get involved are encouraged to state so and come forward with the desire to participate even more. Our goal in providing these classes is to bridge gaps across different cultures, and it seems that this didn't occur during your class. You stated that you should get a refund but that it will "never happen"; but we never received a refund request from you after your class. Took this class with my teenage niece. Frederic was our chef. Easy to get to his apartment. He was very patient with us. All three desserts were wonderful. We did not get the recipes but have reached out to Viator hoping they can get us in touch with the chef. Would love to be able to make these desserts at home. Wonderful experience!!

Great class, step by step instructions and efficient for the two hours. He was very nice when asked about short cuts he used and advice about ingredients. Made sure all the teens were involved. Also good variety of desserts.
