The tour was disappointing for several reasons, some beyond the control of our guide. First of all, the area was very crowded on the day we visited. It was very difficult to stay up with the guide and maneuver through the crowds at the same time. She also did not have a flag or umbrella to raise to help keep her in sight. Our guide, Christina, was knowledgeable and personable. However, I don't think her information added much to what is not commonly known, especially in La Concierge. I think I would have enjoyed using the devices available in La Concierge as opposed to having someone just talking about it. One of the advantages was going through the security lines at Sainte Chapelle. So crowded and what a mess! We have gone on many tours like this and I cannot recommend this one. Go early and do the sites yourself.

Thank you for your review, although we are sorry to read that you were disappointed with your tour. We have shared your comments with your guide, the guides are always working to improve and your comments will help this.
It does get very crowded in Paris during the spring and summer, we are waiting for an order of flags to arrive that will help our guests see their guide in crowded areas. The lines can also get very long, we are glad you enjoyed the skip the line access at the Sainte Chapelle.
Once again we are disappointed that you did not fully enjoy the tour. We hope to have the chance to perhaps welcome you again should you return and that you will have a 5* experience with us, which is what our team and our guides work hard to achieve every day.

This was a great tour and not to be missed! The stained glass is so beautiful and the tour was great. I learned so much about French history and the importance of Marie Antoinette. Seeing Notre Dame was so stunning on the outside but so heartbreaking due to the fire. I look forward to going back once its been restored. Book this!

Sainte Chapelle Chapel was an exquisite place to visit. The stained glass bathed us is beautiful blue hues. We had a timed visit which meant not too many people in the chapel at one time. Good opportunity for photos. Absolutely gorgeous and well worth the visit.

Magnificent stroll through the history of Paris with a trained historian.
Paris born and raised Umberto trained as an historian at university. His tour was a delight punctuated with visual aides on an iPad. One particularly useful moment was watching him select various panes of stained glass in Sainte Chapelle too high up to see clearly. Each pane was displayed on his device clearly. This tour covers a lot of ground in just the right amount of time. Memories France tour is highly recommended. Tip: get to the meeting place 15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to start.

Humberto was our tour guide and was excellent. He brought the history to life especially all the complex layers of political changes that these places underwent. He noticed our group was tired from earlier sightseeing and let us sit for a while at the Conciegerie while he told us Marie Antoinette’s story. It was perfect! Even though Notre Dame is still under renovation, his historical perspective was fascinating and we learned so much. This part of the city really came alive for us. Thank you for an excellent tour!

Trying to book this tour. For the 20th it says sold out. For the 19th it is letting me book 2:15, but says "2 additional options not available on this date", but seems to let me book. What does that mean? Please advise and tres vite, s'il vous plait! Also what is the difference with the private tour at 9:15 am?
Hello Cathy, and sincere apologies for the extremely late reply on this, your question slipped through somehow. I'm replying now so future visitors can have the information. As you can imagine the fire at Notre Dame had a great impact on our tours, and we had to adapt out visits to ensure we could still give a high quality, in depth tour of this fascinating part of Paris. We wanted to be a part of this new journey of restoration and rebirth that Notre Dame is now embarking on, and to take our guests with us to witness this as it unfolds. There is now only one option of this tour, and it includes the exterior of Notre Dame, the interiors of the Sainte Chapelle and Conciergerie (prison of Marie-Antoinette) and the charming island that they all sit on, Ile de la Cité. We hope you enjoyed your trip to Paris!
