My guide, Adrian, was terrific. He could not have been more personable and his knowledge of the sites and the area is encyclopedic. He picked me up at my hotel in Bayeux on time (he was actually a little early) and we traveled in a very nice large sedan.
I had actually scheduled a private tour of Airborne sights, but I heard so many good things about Mont Saint-Michel from others on the group tour the day before that I decided to change my plans. I asked Adrian if he could take me to Mont Saint-Michel instead. He barely hesitated, sprinted home (a block away) to get his Mont Saint-Michel guidebook, and we were off. His flexibility and willingness to be accommodating were very impressive. His knowledge and insights made Mont Saint-Michel come to life. The Mont is incredible and I won't soon forget my visit there. We even had time to visit a few Airborne sites on the way back to Bayeux, including one (the Medic's church - quite a story and well worth a visit) that wasn't on the original list.
The day-long group tour I took the day before (with tour guide Jonathan) to Sainte-Mere-Eglise, the American beaches, Pointe du Hoc, and the American cemetery at Normandy was great, but I'm so glad I booked the private tour for my second day.
My two days touring Normandy and Mont Saint-Michel could not have been better - thanks to Jonathan and Adrian, and thanks to the time of year. I was there on November 9th and it almost felt like I had the place to myself. Nevertheless, all the shops were still open. Perfect. Nothing like the massively huge crowds that apparently fill the place in the summer. It was a cool day, but not cold, and the day was picture-perfect. I highly recommend Normandy Sightseeing Tours and I absolutely recommend visiting Mont Saint-Michel in the late Fall. (Call ahead to schedule good weather. . . . That was a joke.)

I was really looking forward to visiting the Mont, however I have a newfoundland and a husband with bad knees. We could not go on the bus and could not walk the long distance over to the Mont and no private tour company were prepared to take us

My daughter, wife and I had a private tour of Mont Saint Michel with our guide Gwen. He met us at our hotel in Bayeux and drove us to site. Along the way there he discussed the local area and then prepped us with important information and history of Mont Saint Michel. His knowledge level was excellent and was able to go into great detail when we asked questions. Gwen provided information throughout the entire tour as it was clear he wanted to ensure we received the level of detail and access to the site that met our interest.
I highly recommend this private tour and Gwen as a guide, for individuals and families who want more than the basics about the beautiful and fascinating Mont Saint Michel!!

Our group of 6 adults is interested in a half day tour of Mont Saint Michel from Bayeux. We do not need time to go to the shops or other sites.

Hi...we’re a group of 2 & we’d prefer a 6-hour tour instead of 8–we don’t need to go the the shops either
