Extremely moving!

Make sure you allow enough time to see everything. 1 day is really not enough. It was a very moving experience to see how many lives were sacrificed that day!

Full day trip of the D-Day experience

The entire tour was excellent but the visit to the cemetery was inspirational. Our guide Fred was exceptional. He was truly knowledgeable about all the places we visited.

Well run and informative tours
2022年10月
Went on two trips, one the american sites and the other canadian. After booking team kept me up to date on which tours were running - we are towards end of season - and gave me flexibility to choose.

Both guides , John and Francois were excellent. Strangely an englishman who has spent last 20 years in Normandy and a frenchman who spent 16 years in England.

Overall the tour was well balanced. Did not feel rushed, but we got to see a lot. Both guides had impressive knowledge, good delivery and friendly personality.

Everything was a highlight!

Excellent Tour of Normandy!

Celine did an excellent job providing a tour of Normandy. She was extremely informative and thorough in her presentation, and provided many different perspectives. The focus was on American Battlefields, visiting Omaha Beach, Point to Hoc and The American Cemetery, but we also visited British battlefield sites, the Ardenne Abbey, and La Cambe German cemetery.
Though not included in the initial tour, Celine also provided information about the history of Normandy, and the tour included a visit to Bayeux and a stop taking in the Bayeux Tapestry.
It was definitely a 5 star tour.

Good guide, terribly cramped van

Our guide was good, with detailed knowledge of the battles and an engaging personality. Like most of the guides, he works for various tour companies. However, the van that was provided by Normandy Sightseeing Tours was bare bones, uncomfortable and extremely cramped. We had a full minivan: two in the front with the driver, three in the middle, and three crammed in the very tight back. This van might have fit 8 young cub scouts comfortably, but not the 8 adults, mostly over 65, who had to be jammed into the seats and climb in and out at the various stops. The guide never suggested taking turns in the different seats: on our tour, the front was occupied throughout by an unpleasant man in his 40s and his sweet if oblivious teenage son. A disabled man in his 80s was one of the last to be picked up, and it was expected that he would have to scramble into the very back. After he almost stumbled getting out at the first stop, my husband (age 70) gave him his middle row seat, and sat in the very back for the rest of the long day. Since these tours primarily attract older adults, providing a comfortable ride is very important. We had chosen Normandy Sightseeing Tours instead of Overlord Tours, because of the promise of a small group. After seeing the very comfortable appearing small bus operated by Overlord, we regretted this decision.
Our ride was so unpleasant that we bailed on our pre-paid day to Mt. St. Michel with Normandy Sightseeing Tours, and chose to rent a car for the day instead. That was an excellent choice.

NST-BAYEUX
Dear Pascal, We are sorry about the experience you seem to have encountered. Our vans are extended vans and if not bigger than the other company you are comparing ours with, they are EXACTLY the same size. Also, please check the other reviews, you will find out that it is a first to have such a bad review about the size of our vans !!! You have chosen a shared tour, in a van fitting maximum 8 people plus our guide. You were plenty aware of the booking you made. It is therefore not fair to complain afterwards. Next time, please book a private tour and you will get a van just for yourself, this might avoid disappointment and an unfair negative review. Kind regards Morgane

Gwin (Gwyn?) was an incredible guide. His historical knowledge was first rate. He gave us important facts about the sites and background information about the time table of the invasion. This made the day more memorable and comprehensible.

St mere Eglise, Utah Beach, Pt du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and American cemetery at Omaha.

Our tour guide Thomas Bernard, had researched his presentation. He was prompt to pick us up in Bayeau. I traveled with several members of my family that thought this tour was the highlight of our Europe vacation. If I eve have the chance to return to Normandy would ask for Thomas again. Thank you so much for the great history lesson. We were amazed at a particular stop at a small church that had two medics which treated 80 soldiers wounds, American and German.

Great tour!

Great tour- it hit a lot of key sights for those interested in the American battles. Our tour guide, Mag, was great. The only bummer was that you get such a short time in each location. But I guess that’s just necessary in order to see as many landmarks and sites that we did.
