GREAT TOUR - highly recommend. Guide was very knowledgeable and was very clear and effective in his communication. The day was very surreal and at some moments you were taken aback by imagining what it was like while scanning over the beaches.

A tour is the way to see the D-Day sites. This tour was good. Only negative - sitting in the back of an 8 person van - hard to hear/understand/see at times because of van noise.

My grandpa landed on Utah so this was a really personal trip for us, and I can't say enough great things about this tour. Our tour guide Ollie was kind, funny, incredibly knowledgeable and easy going. Overlord Tour made our trip really special.

Our guides were Ben and David. They were great. We did the two day, Omaha & Utah beach tour and the Mont Saint Michel. The is a lot to see on both days. The beach tour was the best (dday focused). Ben was Great. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Well worth the price and time.

Amazing experience! The tour guide met us at the train station, with a clearly marked sign. There were only 8 on our bus, so we could get around easily. Our guide was wonderful - my husband is the history buff and found the whole experience quite moving. Overlord did a wonderful job and I would strongly recommend.

Our Guide was Oliver Jacobs and this tour was the highlight of our 30 day trip to Europe. His expansive knowledge of the conflict and personal touch to his presentation was a tribute to the men who sacrificed their lives for all of us. We took two tours with Overlord and both were highly professional. Oliver’s tour stood out because of his superlative presentation. I served in the Air Force for five years, worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for over thirty and volunteered with Veterans with PTSD for four years. This visit to Normandy was important to me. Oliver made this day something I will always remember.

Being first time visitors to the Normandy beaches, the full day Omaha and Utah beach tour was perfect for us. We visited several important locations in addition to the two beaches. The guide had excellent historical knowledge and shared many nuanced details that enriched the experience. His photos and maps really added to the experience. I would like to have stayed longer at some sites, but this tour provided a good balance between the number of sites visited and the duration at each site. I highly recommend this tour company and this particular tour.

Oliver, our private tour guide, was knowledgeable, informative, entertaining, friendly and accommodating. Despite the wind and off-and-on showers, it was a full day private tour well worth it!

Thierry was a great guide! Very informative and descriptive. He gave many details of that time. We even met Henri, who was a young g boy living there when it happened. The American Cemetery was quite beautiful and moving. Nice day in Honfleur also.

What is the difference between the "Band of Brothers" tour and the "Omaha and Utah Beaches" tour?

I believe Band of Brothers tours only goes to Omaha Beach and then follows the path the 101st airborne took. I don't think you go to Utah Beach. We did see the Band of Brothers tours at some of the other locations we went to.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to take a tour in a vehicle with others. There's no one that will just meet you at the beach and give you a tour.

Will be in Bayeux for three days in late October and considering both the Omaha and BOB Full Day Tour and the Omaha and Utah Beaches Tour. Would there be too much overlap between these tours to make it worth our while?

WE did the all day Overlord tour which was fantastic. Next day we had a car & visited Utah beach for longer stay & went to Honfleur which I highly recommend along with Arromanches, very worthwhile!
