My wife and I had an amazing time on our tour! Oliver was an exceptionally knowledgeable and charismatic guide, and his presentation greatly enhanced the experience. I would highly recommend him to any friends or family that I talk to about my time in Normandy

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Olivier on our band of brothers tour. Olivier had an answer for every question we asked, big or small, was very funny, and expertly navigated us through the 7+ stops on the tour. The morning was dedicated to the Omaha sector and the afternoon was spent following along Easy company’s path to Carentan. Between me and my husband, I’m the big history buff and my husband went along mostly to humor me - but he also left impressed with the quality of the tour as well as (more importantly) the stories and heroism of the men who fought and died here. This was a big highlight of our whole 10-day France trip and I’m grateful to Olivier for his dedication and expertise to making this tour so enjoyable!

The family and I went for a week long vacation in Bayeux and spent the whole week going around to all the war memorials and it has been fantastic! The Overlord tour company is great and would definitely recommend it!! Our drivers was named Theo for the Omaha and band of brothers tour and he was amazing! He told his families story about the war and the personal connections his family has in the area!

The Omaha and Band of Brothers full day tour from OverlordTour was one of the most moving and interesting experiences that my family and I have ever had. From the easy van pickup just outside our hotel (Churchill Hotel) to the completion of this extensive tour, my family and I became fully immersed in what really occurred on D - Day in 1944. Our guide, Remy Boutry, provided us with countless facts, actual pictues, maps, and engaging stories throughout the tour and answered all of our questions with great knowledge and a smile. Omaha Beach and Pont du Hoc were very emotional and inspiring as Remy helped us to understand what tremendous obstacles faced the American soldiers as they landed on the beach and fought their way inland. The afternoon "Band of Brothers" tour was so interesting as Remy presented it through the eyes of actual U.S. soldiers. My family and I cannot even begin to express our appreciation to OverlordTour and especially Remy, for a day that will always be a highlight of our lives. This is THE tour to take to relive D-Day!!!

My wife and I took the band of Brothers tour. Saw everything they advertised and more. This may be the first time I have ever given rate obg 5 stars…that speaks for itself as to how wonderful this was. I must give our guide, REMEY, 5 stars as well..he is most knowledgeable and passionate..I recommend asking for Remey.

This trip was on my bucket list my whole life. My friend and I did a private Omaha and Band of Brothers tour with Antoine as our guide. This was the most amazing tour of anything that I have ever done in my life. There are many choices when initially searching for a tour company, I am SO GLAD that we chose Overlord Tours. Antoine guided us around all the sites of Normandy that are listed in the description and MANY more significant sites along the way that I didn't even know I needed to see.
When we began, Antoine asked us our knowledge of the D-Day invasion and Normandy and then gave us choices to customize our day and made several recommendations (really just how much in depth and how much time we would spend in each place based on our desire). You don't know what you don't know and Antoine was there to help. Antoine had very detailed answers to all of our questions and I don't think we stumped him once! Keep in mind that ours was a private tour, things are probably different with a larger tour group.
Some tips for the tour:
We stayed in Paris and took the train to Bayeux the afternoon before our tour. We stayed at the Hotel De Brunville & Spa which I would highly recommend! Antoine picked us up at the hotel the morning of the tour. We had our bags with us and when the tour was done, we got dropped off at the train station to head back to Paris.
Definately prepare for the weather. The day of our tour was in February and we had rain, sun, cold, warmth, wind, you name it. Good hiking shoes are a must. You don't hike a lot but they help with puddles, mud and sand. Bring a rain coat no matter what the weather forecast says, you are on the coast. Our tour was in a comfortable van which helped to warm us up in between sites. Other tours might offer touring in a Jeep or a motorcycle, but I felt sorry for those people because they must have been freezing and wet with no way to warm up.
Bring money for lunch if you are doing the full day tour. And definately bring money to tip your guide, they EARN it!!!
Do your homework before you go, you will enjoy the day so much more. Yes, watch Band of Brothers, but also watch The Longest Day and Saving Private Ryan. Also watch YouTube videos on Pointe Du Hoc and other sites and battles in and around Normandy. There's so much more info out there besides Stephen Ambrose books and Spielberg movies. Keep in mind, movies and TV shows are usually the perspective of the writers and aren't necessarily the real story or the whole story. Overlord Tours give you the facts, not Hollywood. Antoine would reference Band of Brothers or something and then tell us what the facts were. Sometimes they matched up and sometimes you would see the Hollywood spin.
I couldn't say one bad thing about our tour. Antoine went over and above what we expected and I would HIGHLY recommend Overlord Tours for your day at Normandy.

We just wrapped up a tour with Remy from Overlord, Remy and the tour were fantastic. Due to the off season we had a private tour, which was a lovely bonus. The tour covered all the sites in great detail and we were able to spend some time alone at certain sites, which was really nice. This is an all day tour, so review it a bit before hand so that if you want to spend more time at a certain location you can shorter or eliminate anther site. Remy graciously took us to Utah beach as well, which was wonderful and incredibility important to my son. Overall really great tour, lots of important that drove home the very stark reality of the events around D-Day, which compared to the beauty of some locations is quite the contrast. Would defiantly recommend!

We had the pleasure of having Guillaume as our tour guide. His enthusiasm and depth of knowledge of the history and tactics of the D Day invasion is remarkable. His direct family connection to the events of WWII gave excellent perspective on the local resistance and the elation of the residents after being liberated by the Allied forces.

My wife and I had a private tour with Thierry and it was an amazing experience. I am a US veteran with Ranger Regiment so this was very important to me and personal. We hit all the key landmarks, while Thierry provided excellent historical facts and information to fully understand what happened and it's impact on the invasion. Learning so much while physically seeing the landmarks was a priceless experience. Thank you for helping me check this off of my bucket list.

This was without a doubt the best tour I have ever been on. Being able to visit the sites of the Normandy landings was very powerful. As a teenage World War 2 history enthusiast, the full day tour was one of the best experiences of my life. Our guide Remy was fantastic, being knowledgeable and passionate about all things World War 2. During our free time to take photos overlooking Omaha beach, Remy took the time to find which infantry division my great grandfather served in with some information that we gave! He also let us walk in my great grandfather’s footsteps on Utah beach! For the actual tour itinerary, Remy let us pick and choose which sights we wanted to see the most. For example, a group could choose to take an in-depth look at Easy Company sites from the 101st Airborne. With our preferences in mind, he would create an order of sites to visit, with a lunch-time built in. For lunch, we went to a local Normandy cafe. Remy once again excelled as our guide by showing us the specials offered for lunch and making sure we found a table smoothly. After Lunch, near the end of our full-day tour, Remy went above and beyond by taking us on a last-minute visit to Point-Du-Hoc. Earlier in the day, it was blocked off. Because of this, the tour went an hour longer. Despite the delay, Remy still made sure that we left the site with all the information. Overall, every moment of the tour exceeded our expectations. For Band of Bros tour all walking is essentially voluntary, the longer trek's such as Omaha Beach, Cemetery museum, Pointe Du Hoc are probably the longest, but not too arduous at all. Pick your tour based on your knowledge of WWII and D-DAY. This one follows some of the steps of a particular airborne unit. Oliver was our guide. Good Dude.

We just took this tour a couple weeks ago and the best spot to park was Parc Michel Ornano...perhaps a five minute walk to where the tour leaves from and plenty of parking. Beware of one way streets if navigating to the location using google maps or similar program...they don't always show you one ways!

Our tour ended a little later than planned - arriving back at the drop-off spot at about 6:30 pm. This was most definitely due to the high traffic volume the day after the 75th D-Day anniversary and a very rainy day. We were advised by our driver in advance that this might happen and everyone on our tour had no time constraints!

I also agree with the previous answers. Watching the first 2 episodes gives a great overview to what you will see on the tour and you can put the actual names to the places you will be at. Our guide was great and went above-and-beyond to point out differences/extras between real life events and the series.
