Such an amazing experience, our guide Charles was a fountain of information. He made the tour an incredible outing. Learned so much about the brave men and women who fought in these areas.

Our guide, Pascal, was fantastic. He shared so much knowledge of the Normandy battles. It was a full day and one we would highly recommend. He even adjusted the schedule to make the American Cemetery the last stop...something I would suggest be permanent. It's a very sobering experience after hearing of all the lives lost. We didn’t make it in time for the Taps ceremony because of an exit closure but that's no fault of the driver.

This tour is a must-do - we loved it!! Our tour guide Pascal was amazing - informative, entertaining and accommodating - a wealth of information and some “off the beaten path” stops/history.

Excellent one day tour, our guide, Pierre was knowledgeable and considerate, always asking if we had any questions. I never felt rushed and learned a few things not in history books.

This 8.5 hr tour was amazing and so informative. Our guide, Charles Miglierina, was wonderful. He was so incrediably knowleagable about evrything US military and with regards to the entire history of the invasion. Highly recommend!

Charlie is an outstanding tour operator in every respect .
We thoroughly enjoyed our full day touring the area and listening to Charlies extensive indepth coverage of the D Day landings .

We had an amazing tour with Pascal! He is very knowledgeable and the nicest person ever. This tour was very detailed compared to other companies I looked at so we highly recommend it. We had a great day :)

We had a fantastic day with the Bayeux Shuttle Company. They were very accommodating. Our family loved the stories that went along with the locations. Charles was without a doubt the best tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and had fun sense of humor.

This was a group tour, but it was small. They picked us up in a van, and I don’t think our group was larger than 12-15. I highly recommend this tour company. Their presentation and knowledge of the history of D-Day was fantastic! As you drive in the van from one site to the next, they play informative videos on the TV in the van, and they also have a very interesting book/photo album they pass around. When you arrive at each site, they explain the historical events of the day before you explore on your own. They will respond to your email. Contact them and see if they can provide you with a private tour. Enjoy!

Does the price include the trip from/to Paris and where is the departure point in Paris? It just states Place de la gare, but there's mulitple in Paris. Do you get to go out on the beaches on this tour? Any information you could provide would be great! Thanks!

The price did not include the trip from/to Paris. It was set up that you take the earliest train from Paris to Bayeax (leaving Paris at Saint Lazare) arriving ~9:30AM. If the train is delayed, the tour waits for you.
We did book round trip tickets, choosing the latest train back to Paris and then changing it to earlier once we were dropped off at the station. I think we'd have been better off only booking it one way and purchasing the return once we were already at the station.

No, you must pay extra for your travel from Paris to Normandy. It's very easy to get to Bayeaux, and if your train is late, as ours was, your guide will wait for you. Also, we had booked a rather late round-trip ticket to Paris, and Ian, our guide, gave an excellent suggestion for a place to eat. We followed that with a walk through the church "Notre Dame de Bayeaux", which only added to a wonderful day's adventure.
