We had a wonderful day with our guide Sheila. The garden wasn't crowded that day so we were able to soak it in. Sheila did a great job explaining Monet as an artist as well as his personal life. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The actual house tour is pretty quick, the grounds are incredible!

We missed our train so missed our tour. My call to the telephone number you sent for questions was never answered. We had to pay more money for tickets to see the house and gardens. You have bad customer service!

The tour guide was lovely but since she had French speakers on the tour also ( all but 2 were English speaking) it necessarily delayed her descriptions and instructions to the majority and seemed a little stressful for her ( clearly she was well informed and spoke both languages fluently)

We had a very knowledgeable guide and loved the beautiful gardens and quaint home. When we visited the Orsay Museum in Paris we recognized Monet’s paintings and knew the story behind the painting.

A good way to see Monet’s garden and house and to learn more about the place than if you relied just on information available around the grounds.
The house and garden were very crowded on the day I visited, and it was difficult for our patient guide to manage a group of 19 people. In some places, it was only possible to walk in single file along the pretty but narrow paths in the garden. If we tried to stand in a group to listen to our guide, we often blocked the path. I think a smaller group size would be better for this tour given the inevitable crowds at this popular attraction.

It was lovely small tour that met up with our guide Shelia. It allowed her not to use technology and make it a more intimate group. Shelia was very well resourced with copies of paintings/ documents and she paced the tour well with time to look and time to listen. She provided us with the intimate story of the Claude Monet family life, described his painting techniques for his water lily pictures and how he met his art dealer and became very wealthy. Really set the scene allowing us to see Giverny as Monet say it. Five Stars.

The Monet gardens at Giverny are something very special. Having our guide Sheila show us around made it a pleasure. No hassles with standing in queues, it surely is a great option. Sheila was able to fill in so many extra details on Monet and how the house and gardens evolved. Even better was rhat ut was a small group of 4 and so we could talk about anything and everything Monet.

We had a delightful tour of the Monet house and gardens with Sheila. We took the English speaking tour and she is from the US so was easy to understand. Sheila had such a great delivery and was a wonderful storyteller. We enjoyed our time with her. The house and gardens did not disappoint and were in full bloom at the beginning of August. Thank you for telling us so much about the history of the house and gardens and for letting us know what else to see in the town. It made for a fantastic day!
