The trip started on time and there was one other couple. I was thankful that they didn’t cancel the trip. Our guide was knowledgeable and spoke good English. He started out by showing us a map to orient us; this was very helpful. He gave us a-lot of information about the region and seemed knowledge. His driving was smooth which I appreciated since i am prone to car sickness. The hillsides, grape vines, wheat fields and hilltop villages were beautiful in the spring. It was amazing to see the Amphitheater in Nîmes and the Roman Antic Theatre in person. We had seen the Pont du Gard 2 days prior but on this trip we were taken to the opposite side than our prior trip. The unexpected advantage was to see some 2000 year old olive trees and you can never get enough of the Pont du Gard. The day was long but well worth it. We spent about an hour at each stop; this is probably enough for most travelers; a good way to cover a lot of territory. You could easily make each of the stops a half day if you are the traveler that lines to longer more. Given the number of places we stopped, it was well planned.
We forgot to bring our water bottle and this tour did not provide, so keep this in mind. In summary, a good day with great experiences and well worth it.

The guide, Bastien, was very friendly and gave us sufficient time at each site. The very small group (only three people) that day was an extra bonus as allowed everyone to ask questions and chat with him. We also had time for a sit down lunch at Uzes (but not much time to do anything else there). If you like Roman ruins and history, this is the tour for you! We were able to experience a lot in one day.

Magnifique lieu chargé d’histoire. La visite avec l’audio guide est très bien faite et complète. Elle nous permet de bien découvrir le site et d’en apprendre beaucoup sur les habitudes romaines, la vie à cette époque et bien sûr, sur les gladiateurs. La visite est parfaitement adaptée pour les enfants également.

J'ai apprécié ce tour d'une journée, baignée dans la culture romaine, tant architecturale que par les anecdotes de la vie quotidienne de cette époque.Les arènes de Nîmes sont majestueuses et bien conservées.La ville d'Uzès est un havre de paix, quant au Pont du Gard un édifice à couper le souffle. La clé de voûte de ce circuit a été pour moi la dégustation d'huile d'olive et ses dérivés.Notre guide a su mettre en valeur durant le trajet les éléments historiques, culturels et gastronomiques voire oenologiques intéressants. J'ai trouvé ce concept de mini-bus ( climatisé!) fort approprié et convivial pour découvrir la Provence en petit comité . J'invite vivement à tester ces circuits variés et pertinents pour un séjour sans tracas de voiture lors d'un séjour en Provence.

How much time is allotted to Pont du Gard? Enough to walk to the viewing points on both sides of the bridge and also museum?
