Esta es una de las rutas más bonitas que hemos realizado, Sobre todo en primavera, colores y aromas que te envuelven y le dan a los días más sentidos cuando piensas en la vida de este pintor, tan especial. Los restaurantes de la zona son excelentes, tanto en productos como en presentación.

Our big overseas family holiday....the only such opportunity we may have perhaps & the anticipation of following in Van Gogh’s footsteps was so exciting for all of us. My 17yo daughter, studying art in her final year of school was hugely looking forward to incorporating some ‘Vincent’ life scenes into her folio.
Booked on the Thursday, for a tour departing Saturday
Received booking confirmation and a reference number immediately and Viator took our money.
Saturday morning was an excitable time for us. Alas, after a 15 min wait at our pickup spot, I called the booking company just to check on things. I was told nonchalantly that our reservation had been cancelled and that they had sent a confirmation ‘late yesterday’
I received no email
When I questioned why the cancellation occurred, I received no explanation. Instead, I was put through to Viator in the U.S.
After some time on hold I was given the same response and again, no explanation. My family were devastated. To summarise, everyone
Our Money taken
Our Booking Confirmation given
Our tickets cancelled (no reason given)
Assurance made that money will be returned.
6 days later? No sign of our money
Guys & Girls, my hope for you all is that you save your time & your money and pick another tour operator
Happy and safe travels everyone. But do go elsewhere

We thank you for your feedback. We received your booking on June 27th, and a cancellation notification the following day. Being the local supplier for Viator, we advise you to directly contact Viator Customer Service to try and understand what might have happened with your booking, since we did not requested the cancellation. We understand your frustration and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

My wife and I spent a joyous afternoon in the company of Frederique visiting Arles and St Remy to explore Van Gogh’s time in Provence. For anyone who likes his paintings from that time, it’s a joy. Sadly, the little yellow house is gone, but you can still see where it was and you can still see the railway bridge that’s in the same painting. The night cafe is also there, now painted bright yellow. The Fondation Van Gogh, while not officially on the itinerary, is well worth a side visit time permitting.
We were also able to visit St Paul de Mausole, the mental hospital where Van Gogh admitted himself from 1889 to 1890. Still a hospital for mentally ill patients it exudes an atmosphere of calm and peace. Some of his best loved paintings were done here including Starry Night and the Irises. The bedroom used by Vincent is open to visit; it felt a privilege to step inside it.
Many thanks for Frederique for making it a memorable afternoon, which was spiced by our mutual love of jazz music. For Frederique’s information, we played the John Scofield album of Ray Charles music tonight and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the tip!
