Bus doesn't run every day?

It is not really clear on the website or from the brochure that the hoponhopoff bus does not run on Sundays and Mondays. The train through the center of Avignon with a boarding point in front of the palace where tickets can also be purchased did run on Sunday.

No tour but able to purchase tickets

This was a disaster. We booked the tickets the night before. Spent over an hour (should have been a 25 minute drive) trying to get to the start of the tour, only to realize that there was construction and the road was closed. Finally found somewhere to park the car and walked to the meeting place to find a sign saying all tours were canceled that day. Asked the woman working at the ticket counter about a refund and while she tried to be helpful she said we had to contact TripAdvisor for the refund.

Beautiful experience

The tour is very good and Avignon is beautiful and the people are very friendly. He greeted us. We loved it . We ate very well. And it became night. I think we walked it all. Even a little street that I think is called "Dintorieur's". Very pretty

Bus was cancelled and still no refund

I can't comment on how good the bus tour would have been, I booked in advance and when I arrived I was told the bus had broken down a few days before and wouldn't be repaired till after I had left. Visit Avignon say they can't refund me as I booked through Trip Advisor, and Trip Advisor acknowledged receipt of my complaint but then no further contact. I wouldn't book in advance

First experience to visit Avignon

Don’t Use For Last-Minute Plans

I gave it a one only because I couldn’t give a zero.

I was told—only after I made the purchase—that I had to print the tickets, I found this INCREDIBLY frustrating: I’m traveling! Where would I have access to a printer?!? (I was able to finally use the Tourism office, but too late to use the scheduled tour)

I then called the number provided, but because the person who answered couldn’t speak English, they said something that I couldn’t understand and hung up the phone.

So I wasn’t able to take the tour, make any changes, or get a refund.

Morning tour

We were the only passengers on this tour so it felt special. We enjoyed the audio guide and the view from the top deck. The driver was charming and all in all it was a very pleasant way to spend some time getting to know Avignon. I did admire the bravery of anyone driving such a large vehicle around some of the streets.

Ça ne vaut pas la peine de faire cette visite. Les commentaires sont décalés et si vous faites la visite de 17h impossibilité de descendre et on ne fait pas le tour complet à cause des bouchons . Une fois au pont (30min de visite) demi tour et c'est parti pour une heure et demi de bouchon . Bref à fuir

bonjour, Je vous remercie d'avoir pris le temps de laisser un avis. Malheureusement, nous ne sommes pas responsables des bouchons & nous sommes navrés que cela nuise au plaisir de la visite. J'espère que vous avez malgré tout profité du panorama incroyable sur Villeneuve & le pont D'Avignon & le Palais des Papes.
