It was so helpful to be shown some of the food highlights of Nice, especially things that we wouldn't have known about had we not went on this tour. We always enjoy learning about the area, some history, shops to visit later. Our tour was a little disjointed due to some communication issues with our guides, one of which who was brand new, but otherwise all went well and we came away more knowledgeable than before.

Samuel and Myriam were our guides, but mostly Myriam. She did a lovely job guiding us through the market and providing information and tastes of the many wonderful foods of Nice. We ended the tour up on the castle hill with a beautiful picnic with many traditional foods and local wine.

What a great tour. Our guide Carmela was wonderful. Very familiar with the city, history, a lot of connections with vendors, and excellent suggestions for lunch/dinner.
The food and vendors were very good. Be sure to take this your and ask for Carmela, you won’t be disappointed.

The highlight of my trip! I loved Carmela, she was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and respectful. Knew 4+ languages. Everything in the carefully picked menu tasted great, paired with great wine and a little history. Would have never known if it wasn’t for this tour. I will totally recommend!

Carmella was a delight! She took us on a stroll through Old Nice. She told us stories of Nice as we strolled through the beautiful market tasting their wares. We also visited several food stores for more taste treats. The finale was a picnic with even more food and wine on the Castelle “mountain” with a lovely view of all of Nice.

Carmela viste oss gamlebyen og lærte oss mye om historien og legendene til Nice og vi besøkte det lokale markedet der vi hadde flere stopp og smaksprøver fra mange ulike boder. Fantastisk mat og vin. Besøkte fantastiske butikker vi nok ellers ikke ville funnet. Anbefales!

Delicious food, Carmela is a knowledgeable and fun guide, great way to get to know Nice and the culture, history and the local specialities of the region. From the markets to the shops and restaurants to a picnic at the top of Castle Hill, it was a very memorable experience for our whole family.

We had a very nice tour with our guide Carmela. She made the tour an social happening as well as a nice introduction to the city and the taste and smell of a variety of food from the region. Highly recomended

Nous avons réservé ce tour avec ma fiancée et nous avons été ravis ! Non seulement la nourriture était délicieuse mais notre guide Carmela était excellente. Elle nous a raconté plein d’histoires très intéressant et nous a capté avec son éloquence. On recommande vivement!

We booked this Viator tour, before leaving home. Our original booking was cancelled due to lack of a guide and then rebooked for two days later. We met our guide Samuel on Quai des Etats-Unis and he immediately started us on samples of sweet pastries as he told us of the history of the area. Then we walked back and forth along the Cour Saleya Market sampling foods all the way. There were visits to a chocolate shop, wine shop and olive oil shop. We finished up with Gelato. Our 4 hour tour lasted 5 hours and we were all fully satisfied.
