Delightful wander through town along with some history lessons. Laurent is a chef and made us several items to taste which were delicious. We stopped for chocolate twice, pastry and bread, empanadas, wine and a good luck shell fish hinge. We wandered through an old time hardware store and a very old herbalist shop. We stopped at a medicine market. Our ambulation was only marred by a high wind and lashing rain at the last 10 minutes.

Laurent did an excellent job taking us to many different parts of Marsielle. I especially liked the Middle eastern market and the empanada shop.

Perfect Tour to get to know the city, people and food options in the city of Marseille.
Laurent is a very nice tour guide who understood to combine the history of the city with food, wine but very "customized" for everyone. Perfect start for a city weekend!

We booked the tour 3 days ahead. It was confirmed twice, few hours later and the day before. Unfortunatelly, we were not able to do it, because guide did not show up. There were 2 other people waiting for the tour. They send SMS/text if the guide is coming - nobody responded. I called 3 times and once I have left voice message. After 30 Minutes waiting (start at 11:00 am), we decided to leave and shortly after came message that the tour was cancelled 2 days ago. We have not been informed and frankly we have been super hungry, because we were expected to taste some food and beverages on the tour.
When you book the tour you have to give not just your e-mail, but also phone number, so I do not understand, where was the problem to inform us at all. I have even click on to be informed via SMS/text (just confirmation arrived).
This should not happen at any circumstances! I hope, we get our money back.
My recommodetion: GET ORGANIZED!!! Plus that 2 messages to confirm or cancel the tour would not kill you eather - hour/2 hours before the start.

We were very excited about this tour. Arrived at the designated point on time, waited for 20 minutes, called the operator multiple times (went straight to voice mail), sent text messages with no response.
Pleased to say Viator customer service happily refunded our ticket cost but still disappointed to miss the tour experience.

One of the best tours we’ve been on! So interesting and Laurent was very humorous throughout the tour! Would highly recommend it. He even drove us back to our cruise ship cause we missed our shuttle!!

We were a small group of four friends, arrived in Marseilles only the day before. Elisabeth met us down at the old port and immediately started to talk about the history around us, so we got off to a great start. The pace of the tour was great: there was time to ask lots of questions and Elisabeth was very knowledgeable and friendly. We ambled through the old port and into the oldest part of Marseilles, which was fascinating and definitely enriched by having someone with local knowledge. The food that we tried was great! I loved that we finished the tour by eating lunch in an apartment in the old town, and trying examples of local food. The time passed really quickly and we were thoroughly satisfied with the whole experience.

This was more like a strange history tour that ended with a picnic at Lawrence house. The food tours I’ve been on in other parts of Europe you meet the purveyors of the little restaurant or store and they tell you about their food ingredients why it’s made the way it is etc. that was not the case here. It was a lot of boring history to be honest with you. Some of the people on the tour were ready to leave they were so hot and tired and thirsty I think it was about 2 1/2 or three hours before we actually got to his house at eight there was plenty of food that’s for sure but he really didn’t tell us much about any of it. I think a lot of it had to do with not a great command of the English language .

Visite faite dans le cadre d'une demie journée détente lors d'un séminaire. Quel plaisir! Laurent nous a transporté dans une visite de Marseille tout à fait atypique, nous y avons découvert de nombreux endroits que nous n'aurions pu découvrir par nous mêmes ou par un circuit plus traditionnel. Après midi à la fois enrichissant et léger.
Nous avons terminé par un repas préparé par Laurent, un véritable REGAL, dans son jardin.
Un Énorme Merci pour toute sa générosité, sa simplicité!!
Nous étions un groupe de 9 et sommes tous répartis ravis de ce beau moment de découverte et de partage!!!
