Alexia was such a wonderful host . We started off in the market where she explained to me the different products, then back to her charming apartment. She then did a cookery demonstration. She is very well informed on how to cook in a very healthy way. After we enjoyed a beautiful meal together with wine. A truly unique experience .I so enjoyed the time with Alexia and I would highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Alexia! From learning what to look for when selecting fresh food at the market or spices from her garden; to watching her create our meal from scratch based on taste and experience; then enjoying the masterpiece of a meal! I would so recommend finding time to do this and experience REAL French cooking.

This was a fantastic experience.
We met with Alexia outside a cafe then headed to the market, where she discussed the fresh produce and introduced us to different stall holders. There were lots of wonderful colours and smells from all the fresh fruit, veg, and baked goods, so it was a great way to start the day. We then walked a short distance to Alexia's apartment. It was a lovely way to see some different areas of Annecy that we hadn't explored.
Alexia has a beautiful apartment with views of rooftops and beyond. We were made to feel very welcome. Alexia used the produce and ingredients selected from the market. She demoed techniques and approaches to preparation. There were lots of interesting plant-based products and nut flours that we hadn't seen before, and it was fascinating seeing these transformed into sauces and creams.
The meal was absolutely delicious. My particular favourites were the smoked salmon pancakes, a delicate trout/fish dish, and plum tart. Everything was tasty and prepared with lots of care. Wine was served alongside the meal.
Alexia's father also accompanied us and he too was very warm and welcoming.
Booking was very simple using Viator and the description of the day, meeting points and timings were clear. Alexia also checked-in via text message the day before. Alexia speaks fluent English and it was fantastic to be able to enjoy this experience without knowing French.
The whole experience was very special and made our Annecy holiday memorable. I'd highly recommend booking. Thank you Alexia!

Fabulous morning! We met Alexia at the local market to buy our ingredients. She gave detailed instructions of her cooking techniques in her cute apartment. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend this experience!

This tour was both educational and fun. After meeting Alexia at the outdoor market we strolled looking for just the right food. We opted for a local fish that she said would pair well with several small vegetarian side dishes.
After walking to her apartment, Alexia explained how she enjoyed experimenting with different ingredients to make a different dish. Without using a recipe, one of the creative dishes which she made (with some help from my significant other) was a tart with ricotta cheese and sun dried tomatoes. Another was a spinach pancake which, although it doesn’t sound great, was quite good, especially with some homemade non-dairy almond butter mayonnaise. Of course, my favorite was the homemade apple crumble dessert.
Afterwards we enjoyed the fruits of our labor and had a leisurely lunch with Alexia and a glass (or two) of wine. All in all, it was a delightful way to spend a morning and afternoon.
Since Alexia shared her recipes, we are looking forward to making these dishes at home. Enjoy…

I had an amazing cooking session with Alexia. She is very passionate about seasonal and organic food and her creativity is contagious. It's all about learning how to cook and savour healthy food. I enjoyed our walk through the market and learned about seasonal products and some unknown ones like mâche which she used in the salad. I was impressed with how quickly she prepared the different dishes and inventive she is. Thank you Alexia for the enlightening cooking class; it was one of the highlights of my stay in Annecy.

Unfortunately it was raining a lot and it was shoulder season, October, so the market tour was not so good.
Alexia knew and understood healthy food and that was very much a focus of the day. The recipes were very healthy and she made it look very easy.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Alexia. We spent time in the market picking up goods for lunch. Alexia went from vendor to vendor picking up just the right meat and vegetables. We felt very comfortable and relaxed and the conversation was great. Alexia then prepared an amazing lunch. She was so creative. The dishes were not just delicious but the presentation was very artistic. We have done many of these tours and this was by far one of the best. Highly recommend.

Our market tour with Alexia was the highlight of our trip to Annecy. We explored the beautiful markets, learned about local market produce, rare fish and herbs, and were welcomed into Alexia’s home to enjoy her delicious and healthy cooking. Alexia’s knowledge and advice made this experience invaluable, and she was a huge help with planning the rest of our activities. She helped us book the best restaurants, recommended places to enjoy the lake, and even helped find a fast way to the airport, Alexia was amazing. She is passionate for food and community, and it was lovely to visit her recommendations and hear how much she is revered! I highly recommend booking this experience, you won’t regret it! Merci, Alexia (and Jane ♡)!

I spent a lovely morning with Alexia at the market and then cooking at her apartment. It was easy to meet her and the food market was beautiful, such great produce, and Alexia knows everyone there.
Afterwards we walked back to her apartment which has a lovely view over the rooftops with the mountains in the background. Alexia cooked up a feast for us, lots of little dishes, so I was able to try many things. Alexia used a lot of vegetables which was perfect because many of the dishes I have had in France are mainly meat.
An added bonus for me is that Alexia is fluent in French and English, so we could speak in both languages.
Thank you Alexia, I absolutely loved our morning.
