On the 23rd of May my wife and I were on a tour in Germany. In Munich we took a guided tour of Salzburg by train. The guide's name is Mat. He is British and resides in Germany and has proven to be a well-prepared and competent guide at what he does. He provided a map and lots of interesting information along the way, especially on the city of Salzburg. He had a derailment that prevented our return to Munich and Mat solved the problem by buying tickets to a nearby town, Freilassing. And from there we return. If you are going on a tour, contact Rádius Tours and look for Mat. I recommend.this tour to Salzburg, a beautyful City.

We loved our tour guide Elisabeth so very much! Animated, knowledgeable, personable, and articulate. She is more than 5 stars! Transfers by train/bus ran smoothly, and Elizabeth spoke to her primarily American audience regarding their interest in the Sound of Music sights. We chose the Cathedral extra entrance fee but would skip this in lieu of more time visiting the town sights (Mozart’s birthplace), shopping. Get the chocolates “Mozart Balls” - they even have a gelato flavor of this. Take the 3 Euro elevator ride at the Museum of Modern Art to look over the city with a view of the fort/palace. Also spend time at the River if you have time.

Mat was an amazing tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and made everyone feel welcome. The trip itself was very well organized and allowed enough time on our own. Salzburg is beautiful and very walkable. We had a glitch on the return trip due to a train derailment. Mat worked diligently to get us back to Munich. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely day in Salzburg. The train journey was fine and the weather stayed good. But the thing that made the trip great was our guide Mark Oliver. He was smart, funny and full of information about loads of stuff which was great.

Our tour guide Mat is really amazing. He explains the places really well, and he always checks if we are complete as a group in case some got left. He is also very vocal and loves to tell stories which made the tour fun.

The city of Sazburg and surrounding areas are breathtaking but the best part of our visit was our guide, Mat. Mat was well informed on Salzburg and the history of the area from Munich to Salzburg. Thanks for making our visit fun and interesting Mat!!

Nuestra visita empezó en la oficina, que es el punto de encuentro, donde ya una dependienta nos atendió en castellano con mucha diligencia y profesionalidad. Minutos más tarde, nuestro guía Cristian, se presentó y nos explicó muy amablemente cómo sería el tour: nos dirigimos hacia la estación de tren, siempre acompañados de nuestro guía, que nos ayudaba con comentarios sobre la ciudad, nos preguntaba nuestras impresiones, nos aconsejaba... Un encanto. Llegamos al tren holgados de tiempo, así que pudimos comprar algo de comida y bebida. La duración del trayecto en tren fue de, aproximadamente, dos horas, durante las cuales disfruté mucho de los paisajes bávaros y alpinos. Cristian nos hizo el viaje ameno, explicándonos con un mapa todo lo que íbamos a hacer a nuestra llegada.
Al llegar a Salzburgo, hicimos un trayecto corto en bus y llegamos al Palacio dónde se rodaron algunas escenas de Sonrisas y Lágrimas. Espectacular. Más tarde, fuimos recorriendo poco a poco toda la ciudad, siempre acompañados con comentarios, historias, explicaciones y anécdotas por parte de nuestro guía. Salzburgo es una ciudad digna de visitar y nuestro guía fue maravilloso.
Merece muchísimo la pena hacer este tour.
Al llegar a Salzburgo, hicimos un trayecto corto en bus y llegamos al Palacio dónde se rodaron algunas escenas de Sonrisas y Lágrimas. Espectacular. Más tarde, fuimos recorriendo poco a poco toda la ciudad, siempre acompañados con comentarios, historias, explicaciones y anécdotas por parte de nuestro guía. Salzburgo es una ciudad digna de visitar y nuestro guía fue maravilloso.
Merece muchísimo la pena hacer este tour.

We did the Salzburg Tour with Mat and he was the greatest! He is incredibly knowledgeable and also makes all of information incredibly captivating! Would highly recommend any tour with him! It rained a lot the day we did this tour but Salzburg was still so incredibly beautiful. The rain couldn’t stop me from exploring this beautiful place!

Matt was a great tour guide that had a wonderful and knowledgeable background so that he was able to add a lot of color to the whole trip.
Unfortunately, the rainy weather made the trip a bit more challenging, but it is what it is, however we had a very pleasant time.
The rich history of Salzburg, including the Sound of Music filming that was done in and around the city, helps to show this very old city as if it’s frozen in time. One of the city’s most famous son’s is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who is prominently claimed by the residents. There are a considerable amount of additional surprising details that Matt was able to share about this charming Austrian city that made the day truly enjoyable!
I won’t reveal all the surprises, so you’ll have to chime and see for yourself!
I would highly recommend that if you’re staying in Munich and have the time, this nice day trip to Salzburg guided by Matt and Radius tours is a must see an do!
