Absolutely amazing day. Lucas was a fantastic tour guide. Very pleasant, worked with out group very well, and made this an ever better experience. Neuschwanstein castle is one of the best castles I have seen and definitely worth doing!!

We had a great trip to see Neuschwanstein Castle! Lucas picked us up at our Airbnb right on time and had the proper seats for our kids ready to go. Lucas spoiled the kids with some juice and gummy bears before we set off. They loved that! It was such a comfortable ride from Munich. We got to experience the speed of the Autobahn too. It was a relaxing day even with the kids in tow as Lucas was able to provide commentary as we went along. It’s a hike up to the castle but we went slow with the kids. We stopped for some delicious donuts and gluwein. He got us into the castle and snapped some awesome photos for us. He met us at the end of the tour with our stroller which was nice! After our tour we waited just a short time for a horse carriage to take us down. Then he met us at the bottom with some more treats before heading off to lunch in Obermagau. The lunch spot was delicious. We couldn’t do any shopping since it was Sunday and everything was closed but we did have a nice stop in an ice cream shop before meeting up again. Our last stop was Ettal and the kids loved stomping around in the snow. We enjoyed the inside of the Abbey for a short visit before heading back to Munich with drop off right at our Airbnb. We had a great day and feel like we got to see a lot!

This trip was amazing! Our driver Lucas was excellent. He took great care of us, was very personable and made sure all of our wants and needs were met above our expectations! I would highly recommend this tour, we did book the private tour because we don’t like the “full van or bus atmosphere”. Lucas was extremely informative the entire trip, and gave us a bunch of tips for the rest of our trip!

Amir is an attentive and delightful tour guide. He was punctual and anticipated our needs. He added extra historical detail at every turn and made sure that we were always well taken care of. As a local, it was clear he knew the routines and who to talk to. Numerous times we found ourselves at the front of the line. I could not speak highly enough of This tour.

Great tour to an amazing castle with magical views. It was a bit foggy the day we toured, but had lifted when we were done with the tour of the castle. Mariana (???? spelling) was our guide for the day and she was awesome. Knew the area well, and many of the stories/mysteries of Ludwig II. Great day with a wonderful tour guide.

David "Daniel Hound ;-) " is an amazing and talented tour guide. He is a genuine person with a mind full of historical facts. I highly recommend him especially as someone to soak up his knowledge from. I would book another tour with him if I ever happen to come to Germany again. Great food suggestions, comfortable vehicle, and no shortage of snacks and facts! The trip it's self was also amazing. It was a bit overcast so we were not able to catch the breath taking views we were expecting. However, it was still amazing. Each stop was different in their own unique way. Your photos will vary and shock your family and friends when you show them all the great sites.

Can we get picked up in Salzburg and delivered to Munich after the tour?

How long is the Linderhof Palace tour (inside)? Because their website says the famous Venus Grotto is closed for maintenance work until 2022 so the grounds tour sounds like it will be shorter than in the past. Is the private tour guide allowed to provide additional time before arriving at Linderhof? For example a longer lunch/shopping timeframe at Hohenschwangau or Neuschwanstein?

The tour at Linderhof was about 30 minutes depending how far in advance you arrive ahead of your tour time. The grounds are going through some refurbishing, but as of last week, it was a small part, so we were still able to enjoy the grounds. I’m sure if you ask the tour guide or tour company ahead of your wishes for additional time, I think they would accommodate. Some shops in oberramegau are closed on Sundays
