Well-kept place you can dedicate 3 full days , I also visited the castles Be 'did not excite me too much, I recommend the royal palace, and Nymphenburg Palace do the ticket including the visit to the carriages, really spectacular, on Sunday opens at 10.Note sore Sundays are all closed, except bars and restaurants, Saturday ask early.Tickets can be made inside the metro or buses

This tour was exceptional. At the meeting place, Jamie gave us a brief rundown of the timeline, and we were off. As we made our way to Dachau, he kept track of us all, and when he could he shared information. The morning, we went it was Cold, very cold, and grey; really the perfect atmosphere to tour such a place. Our tour met at 8:30am, so we were some of the earliest people to the camp. It was not busy or crowded at this time, and we could really soak in the atmosphere. When we left, there were far more people arriving. Jamie knows a lot of information, and that helped us all understand about the history of Dachau, and the sentiment of the time. Really, really interesting. The tour from start to finish lasted several hours, and was very, very informative. This was the best tour we took while in Germany.
As an FYI, if it is cold, or really hot for that matter, you will be outside a lot. Make sure you dress appropriately. We had all bundled up, but by the end of the tour everyone was cold. Of course, we all appreciated that we had coats and shoes, while the prisoners didn't.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! The early start time really does make a difference, allowing for a quieter, more reflective experience before the crowds arrive. I’m glad you found the atmosphere fitting for such an important visit. Great tip about dressing appropriately—it’s true that much of the tour is outdoors, and the conditions help put things into perspective. I appreciate your kind words and am honoured this was the best tour of your trip to Germany!

I found the tour very emotional and educational. Jamie, our your guide, was extremely knowledgeable and provided valuable insight into the past and more recent history of the site. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Our guide Jamie was fantastic. So knowledgeable and engaging. Dachau is a place not to be missed, both eye-opening and heartbreaking. It was an honour to visit and reflect on the atrocities that occured there.

What an experience. This tour, and the knowledge and understanding of what happened in Daschau in WWII, will stay with me always. Our tour guide, Jamie, was so informative and showed a wealth of knowledge. Thank you so much Jamie...a definite 5 out of 5!!

This tour is definitely worth it! So much history is brought to life from our guide Hein and all his knowledge. The camp is sobering and helps you get a feel for what it was like for people that were stuck there. As far as the tour you should just take it! We wanted to met them there separately and not take the train. Jaime helped us coordinate with Hein the day of and it made the experience even better.

glad that I have made the right decision to visit Dachau during my christmas trip to Germany. It’s never easy to learn the history, go inside it and face it. our tour guide gave a brief but still detailed introduction to the history of WWII and the whole background of Nazi. can never imagine the whole thing happened on the ground we stepped on. if there is time I would definitely want to go through everything inside the exhibition rooms.
