The tour guide Katerina was extremely knowledgeable about Bavaria informing us about its history. She also knew all the logistics of getting us to the Eagles Nest early to beat the crowd. Plenty of time to explore the Eagles Nest. Not much time though to explore the history museum. Katerina showed some highlights of Berchtesgaden to those who wished to join her on a short walk through the center of the city. I highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Elisabeth was outstanding! She gave us a ton of information from the time we started, learned a lot about Hitler and The Third Reich. Sites were educational and the views amazing from up top!

Interesting excursion with good driver and Guide. Bus was comfortable and the time schedule was good but unfortunately the Guide, who was otherwise very friendly, was difficult to understand due to a poor pronunciation of English.
As a result, it was not entirely clear which buildings were original and which were not.

The trip is fantastic. He was perfectly organized and informative.
It was super fun. We took beautiful photos and loved the scenery.
The very best is the tour guide: Elisabeth, Kusha, Franziska and Susanne. We had a lot of contact and were supported wherever possible.

I took the day trip from Munich. Trip was well organised and our guide for the day Elizabeth was great and very helpful. Had good luck with stunning weather and can fully recommend the trip.

Marianne was an excellent guide who offered a wealth of historical and current information. She engaged with each person on the tour individually and was happy to answer any questions we had.

Wonderful day. Franziska was the best guide. So much knowledge and so kind. She is a Diamond. Beautiful scenery all the way, and the Eagles Nest was very interesting. Dont hesitate to book this tour, its so worth it. Just remember to wear comfy shoes.

Went with a buddy. We left Munich around 8:30 am and came back around 7 pm. Pleasantly surprised on the trip’s length and sights/stops. Definitely got our money’s worth. The guide (Franzieska?) was very very knowledgeable, relaxed and helpful, and the bus driver calm and professional. My warmest recommendations.

The trip happens in a large touring bus. Then you take a second small bus to reach Eagles nest.

We've made our reservations, but under exclusions it lists, entrance fee for the special bus and lift up to the Eagle's and the Entry/Admission to The Eagle's Nest. Do we pay those when we get there or do we need to reserve those separately?

The tour company I took the tour with (Mentor Reisen) collected the additional bus and entrance fees from each participant in cash on the drive from Munich to the Eagle's Nest. The tour guide then buys bus and entrance tickets for the whole group.

Please can you tell me if the Eagle nest does it opens last week of April? Due to weather does it obstruct the view etc..

My wife and I visited in late September. It was closed for the season soon after we left. Late April is probably iffy. Anytime the weather becomes dangerous, mostly fog, the Eagle's Nest is shut down. This can happen at any time, even in the middle of the day. There is always risk of closure, but it is worth it for the view and to experience the sad history.
