We did the guided tour of Dachau with Alun departing from Marienplatz in central Munich. Alun was a fantastic guide, very friendly and really knowledgable. We learnt a lot and Alun was the perfect mix of giving us information and also letting us wander around to visit the museum section at our leisure. He was very kind and thoughtful as there were a few older guests on the tour and he made sure we took our time so that everyone was at a comfortable pace. He treated the subject matter very sensitively and advised us of the etiquette ahead of entering the memorial site. Excellent tour and a brilliant guide. Thanks Alun. Alun did an amazing job creating an organized, efficient and interesting tour of Dachau. We left the Munich station and headed towards the concentration camp site. He kept us informed the entire way. It was so easy. We did not have to worry about train tickets or bus tickets. Once we got to the camp, he explained how Germany ended up electing Adolf Hitler. He gave us lots of interesting facts about Dachau. We walked around the entire camp for about two hours. I had been there before so it was so much better having Alun with us. I learned a lot more! The last hour of the tour you spend going through the museum and the barracks on your own. I would highly recommend his tour! I believe he has several other tours to choose from and I wouldn’t hesitate to go on any tour with him at any point during your vacation! He is outstanding!

We have been on a number of tours in the world. Alun was a very pleasant guide and one of the best communicators we have seen. He has a great way about himself and how he interacted with us on his tour. Apparently, he has offered this tour for 16 years and his depth of knowledge and insight certainly demonstrated that. Not only does he know what a customer would reasonably expect, but he has done extensive reading on Dachau and the surrounding time period that enriched the guided tour experience. You will really get your money's worth with Alun as your guide. I highly recommend him--one of the best guides we have had.

Alan was absolutely incredible. He was so educated on the local and world wide history and extremely well spoken.
He really educated us on the deep rooted history and made sure no question went unanswered.

Alun was excellent, knowledgeable, organized. The trip was well thought of, from the meeting place till the end. He gives instructions clearly. I'll do it again with his other tours.

This was an very very informative and professional tour from a friendly and knowledgeable guide. The location is somber and the subject matter difficult, but it is essential to learn about and see with your own eyes. Alun was an outstanding tour guide and if I were staying in Munich longer (or if I come back) I would definitely sign up for another of his tours. Take advantage of the opportunity if you are in Munich.

Alun was fantastic. He was personable & knowledgable. He made navigating public transportation easy. The information that he provided during the tour and tips for navigating the site were great. He was appropriately somber while still making the tour interesting and enjoyable. Highly recommend!
