An absolute must do! A perfect way to discover hidden gems in and around the Viktualienmarkt and learn about the history of these traditional foods in a very entertaining way!

My husband and I absolutely loved this tour! We were first-time Munich visitors and wanted to experience local cuisine and drink in the market. We experienced exactly that and left full and happy! Zsofia was very knowledgeable and tailored the tour perfectly for our group of 3. We'd highly recommend to any who visit.

We had a great time on this tour. We got to try lots of Bavarian delicacies in the farmer’s market and developed a new appreciation for German food culture. We went back to several of the food places again on our trip. We especially loved the sausage place and the honey wine! Finally… our guide was great! She spent extra time with us because the group was small and wanted to make sure everyone had the perfect experience. Highly recommend this tour for everyone’s first day in Munich!

Book this tour!!!!!!! My husband and I both agree that this was the best part of our trip to Germany. We got to spend a beautiful, sunny day in the market with Katrina our guide. There were so many great and diverse foods available and we highly recommend bringing a doggy bag! What we loved even more than the delicious food and great company was that Katrina curated multiple experiences in one so you can really eat like a local. We went from breakfast pastries to a sit down traditional breakfast at a super old restaurant that seamlessly merged into a traditional lunch. From there we visited more vendors and had the authentic picnic/beer garden experience. There was also amazing streetfood, sweets, sunshine, jokes and lots of laughter!! We thought we understood German food, but Katrina introduced us to so many things we had never heard of and would definitely not have tried on our own. Don’t miss this tour!!!

Overall the tour wasn’t worth it for the price you pay…thought we would hit multiple vendors and try different items from the area, but we just ate a cute restaurant and tried a couple of desserts for $250…I would probably pass on this and just go alone and experience the market and use that money for other outlets. The host was great but again for 4 hour tour turned into 1 1/2 hour and for the price, it’s just not worth it…pass

Let's talk about how ridiculous your review is, Timothy. 1) You were on a private tour with your son, as such, the guide spent the entire time curating the experience to your specified wants and needs. The fact that you would claim that getting a private tour at a public tour price "wasn't worth it" tells me everything I need to know about you. 2) As listed clearly in the tour description, the tour is roughly 3-4 hours. Your tour was the full three hours, and was cut short only when you and your son claimed you were "too full" to eat anything else. For some reason, you are now claiming that you wanted even more food? For the purpose of throwing it away, I guess? But, again, this was a private tour, and you had every opportunity on the tour to get exactly what you wanted. Our guides are food experts and can easily adapt the tour on the fly. 3) Your assertion that you "only visited a restaurant and then had dessert" is not even close to the truth, and both you and I know it, since I have all the receipts (time stamps included) from the tour guide. It is shocking that you would go out of your way to try and get your "nice tour guide" in trouble by publicly accusing her of not doing job properly when you know that's totally untrue. Unless of course, you are legitimately confused and these various market stall visits are part of the 90 minutes that seem to be mysteriously missing from your memory. 4) Finally, our tour price is 111 EUR per person which includes a 3-4 hour, small-group tour, a highly-knowledgable foodie guide, and all the food, drinks and alcohol, which, I might add, was too plentiful for you and your son to handle. Seems totally worth it if you ask me. We are the #1 food tour in Germany for a reason, but thank you for attempting to damage our small business in the low season with this confusing and blatantly false review. PS. Our competitors would have cancelled your tour for not reaching minimum numbers with just two people. We, on the other hand, like to use unofficial private tours as opportunities to surprise and delight our guests. You're the only guest to date who has ever complained about such a thing.

Our food tour was amazing and is a must-do while you are in Munich! It was fun trying all the different foods and drinks, and we definitely left full! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind, paid attention to everybody's needs, which made it a memorable experience for us. Thank you for the wonderful time!

ZSophia was amazing. She is knowledgeable, very helpful and great company. She took us all around the markets explaining the origins of our delectable eats which included the morish schmalznudel, bratwurst and sauerkraut, lebekase and Cheese and grapes with a glass of hot honey wine. We also sampled beer.
It was truly a wonderful experience and one of the best tours we have been on. Thank you ZSophia.

This tour was great for our first time in Germany. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable, and gave us the inside scoop on where to eat and drink the best Munich has to offer. We were taken to various restaurants throughout the Marienplatz for some of the best food, beer, and wine tasting. We left very pleased and full. Highly recommend.

Katrina was an amazing, friendly, and animated guide. We tried so many delicious foods and drinks. It was a delightful day. Highly recommend if you are looking for an immersive, authentic experience instead of the tourist traps.
