My family, which includes two teenagers, loved this tour. Thomas is a military archeologist who is a highly knowledgeable and fun guide. He is able to mix an appropriate amount of lightheartedness while talking about serious topics which makes it engaging while treating the subject thoughtfully. This tour is a must if you want to get a solid overview of Berlin's history. The four hours just flew.

This walking tour surpassed all our expectations. Suffice it to say that Markus was a total revelation and we definitely got our money’s worth by an order of magnitude. The walking tour was fresh and intriguing, the itinerary innovative and surprising, and Markus is everything that you could ever wish for in a tour guide: he’s cultivated, open-minded, funny, and aware of even the lesser-discussed aspects of German/European history. From what he told us, he has a PhD in History, which explains how come he knows so much about more niche issues, such as the Roma community and a bunch of other counter stream topics. The trivia he shared with us while walking the streets of Berlin together was as savory as the complimentary burger and fries that we received at the end of the tour. It goes without saying that this experience comes highly recommended and I would not hesitate to embark on it again the next time I’m in Berlin!

Markus was an unbelievably cultured, informed and well-mannered guide! The tour was so cheap I felt bad... We saw and learned so many things! We even got a full meal for the cost. The meal itself would have cost more than the whole tour... Exceptional experience, the highlight of our trip to Berlin! Would definitely come back and do a repeat!

Absolutely fantastic tour! Thomas provided one of the most informative historical tours we've ever taken. His attention to detail and knowledge of historical events in Berlin and surrounding areas during and after WWII was incredible. To get a great overview of Berlin and to see the most notable sights in the city, this is the tour you want!

When we booked our weekend in Berlin, we wanted to do a walking tour and this one had the best reviews. Our guide was Niall and despite the freezing conditions, it was well worth getting out of bed for! His knowledge of Berlin and its history is impressive and he took the time to explain things and answer questions. It was thorough, entertaining and although the subjects are undoubtedly emotive, Niall provided some lighthearted moments as well. For anyone who has no or little knowledge of Berlin’s historical or political past, this tour (and Niall) is well worth the money!

Dimitri gave us a superb tour of Berlin and immersed us in it's history and culture adding historical photos to help us visualize. His passion for the subject kept us riveted and our cold, rainy day was transformed. Best tour we took.

My teenage daughter and I have just had a wonderful and informative walking tour around Berlin with Peter B.
The places we were shown and the information that was so superbly given, and explained, has given us both a much better understanding of Berlin and its place in history. And the personal backstory that Peter told, opened our eyes to how the cold history of the world can impact an individual.
I had a reasonable knowledge of some of the history told to us, but for my daughter it was one of those special moments when history is brought to life and given meaning. She continued to discuss with me her feelings about what she has learned. A
history lesson perfectly given.

I met up with peter at reichstag building
We went for a walk through Berlin. He added details about his life and what he went through during the time of east and West Berlin
I came to Europe on my own and he made me feel comfortable. I really enjoyed my tour and I will use urban adventures again and again. Thank you
