Dan was such a great guide and he knew the answer to every question we threw at him. We saw all the highlights of David Bowie's life in Berlin. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting. We had three generations in our group and each one enjoyed it.

I am a big David Bowie fan so I was really looking forward to this tour. Our guide, Dan Borden, was excellent. As a fan, I wanted to see Bowie’s Berlin and learn some things I didn’t know. Dan was very personable and a great guide and speaker. He wove all the elements of Bowie’s time in Berlin into a fascinating narrative as he led us through the various sites playing selections of the Berlin Trilogy. I enjoyed every minute. My wife, who was not a Bowie fan said at the end: “I’m now a Bowie fan.” Very enjoyable and highly recommended!

An absolutely fascinating experience that brought 1970s Berlin to life. Not only did we talk about Bowie and his music, but also the state of the city, art, history and the context of his decisions and lifestyle.
Our guide Lee's passion and knowledge came through from the first minute to the last.
I had goosebumps as we followed in the footsteps of the great man. A bit more expensive than other tours, but absolutely worth it.

We should have guessed that the tall man standing in the middle of the street blasting out Heroes loudly on his iPad was our David Bowie in Berlin walking tour guide, but we were so flustered by being late thanks to a major festival taking place that weekend in Berlin and focusing on parking our Lime scooters, that we assumed he was just another Berlin character.
Lee is indeed another Berlin character having lived in the City for several decades but a likeable, informative and knowledgeable one who is a historian by trade but also an expert on Bowie's life in Berlin. The result was a tour that combines a slice of history during a unique era, Bowie's unique time in Berlin with his friend Jimmy alias Iggy Pop and a unique tour of the City. We cannot recommend it highly enough for it encompasses the Berlin wall, German Expressionism in art and theatre, music history, for Bowie made history at the Berlin wall, and the historical music studio where Bowie recorded Heroes.
The tour started with Bertold Brecht and a restaurant that Iggy and Bowie ate at regularly in East Berlin on day visits from the West and finished at Bowie's apartment in the Turkish quarter of Berlin where his life was thoroughly more domestic. Throughout the tour - on foot and on the metro - the sound of music is threaded through on Lee's iPad which still lingers with us thanks to Lee's tour playlist on Spotify. We started with listening to Heroes and we wended up meeting a tour hero of an alternative kind.

This Bowie trip was an excellent experience and great way of exploring parts of Berlin. Dan was very knowledgeable about his subject and had organised the route in a thoughtful way to incorporate other features of relevant history too. He is a friendly guide, prompt but relaxed.

Fantastic tour full of interesting anecdotes and plenty of music on route. Lots of quirky personal and slightly different info about Bowie, that made you think deeper about the man and the music, in Berlin and beyond. Lots of references to other artists, all delivered by a very well informed Dan, who guided us around with obvious enthusiasm. Never a dull moment! Sharing a drink in a cosy local bar near Bowie's apartment was a fitting way to end a thought provoking tour.

Tour was done by Dan. A lot of knowledge of Bowie, also delivered in an appealing way. Tour shows important places of Bowie and with sound fragments in the background the music comes to life.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip around Berlin with Ronen. We walked and travelled by bus and train to get to all the areas of Berlin that Bowie had frequented in his time there. Well put together tour with lots of information and using music and photographs to add some ‘sound and vision’. It was so interesting to see the places that had inspired the songs created whilst in this intriguing city. We would definitely recommend for all Bowie fans.
