Had an excellent experience on the Sachsenhausen tour guided by Walid. The tour was well paced and allowed us a great overview of the history of the camp and Walid was very engaging and able to answer all of the group's many questions.

This was an emotive and educational experience. You can watch all the documentaries and read all the books you like but they will never convey the story the way we experienced during our visit. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and approachable so no question left unanswered. He managed the information with respect and shared it with compassion.

Thank you for your review of our bus tour to the former concentration camp of Sachsenhausen. The guide can give a lot of background information en route, so that when you arrive the stage is set for a deep dive into the Nazi concentration camp systems.

The tour was slightly more expensive than other walking tour, but picked up by and dropped off by a mini bus was all worthwhile. Less walking and more time to listen to historic tutorials given by the guide in the mini bus was excellent. Very informative and highly recommend the tour.

I thought that Jamie G (“Irish Jamie”) did a great job guiding our group through this challenging site. The content was emotional but he did an amazing job preparing us on the bus ride there with a lot of historical context and information. Jamie led us through the concentration camp sensitively and with a wealth of knowledge. While the camp can be accessed via public transportation for much lower cost, I appreciated having the bus ride there to prepare me for this emotional trip and having the bus ride back to process the experience. A knowledgeable tour guide is essential when visiting Sachsenhausen. I highly recommend a visit to this camp and highly recommend Insider Tours.

Dear Ann,
Thank you for your review. Yes, we had to cancel this tour out of absolute necessity a full four days in advance. As you have misrepresented our reason given in this review, here is what we wrote you:
"We regret to inform you that, due to issues with our transport partner, we are unable to offer the Bus Tour to Sachsenhausen this Saturday, Sept. 3rd.
We will now cancel your ticket and refund in full. We apologise for having to take this necessary step."
This is the first time we have had to cancel this tour. Due to the IFA trade fair in Berlin this weekend there are no replacement buses to be had. Again we apologise for having to cancel and we hope that you could find an alternative tour for that day.

El tour lo hice con Hugo, un sr desganado y con poca información que aportar que no te llegue por otras vías. El memorial, campo de trabajo y concentración no me pareció muy interesante. Solo visitamos el pabellón 38 y poco más y del exterior nada destacable

An excellent day, led by our supremely knowledgable, very personable and enthusiastic leader, Mike Stack. (Who even took the time to chat about my Uncle’s Bomber Command service) The chilly, wet weather added to the atmosphere of this chilling place. A must do visit, appreciating the history.
