Not under the holidays!!!
I had also forgotten about last year's scam under the Christmas holidays...Not to be taken at all in this period.On the site is not clear, so this is why you consider it a scam, but all museums we found them closed.To watch them from outside I do not have to pay this welcome card.😠.I did not expect this from a country like Germany...
I have used the city card in many other cities, but I have never felt fooled like here...
Maybe it works at other times of the year but I will never know.

Shockingly bad. Waste of money. On arrival at Berlin Airport was told these tickets do not include public transport even though that is what we specifically booked. Customer services for TripAdvisor, Viator and Visit Berlin all argued amongst themselves, and we got nowhere. We ended up buying a weekly pass for public transport and it was simple. Avoid at all cost.

Despite what others have said this card does also include travelling for free on buses and city trains. Which very quickly adds up! And there aren’t that many free museums. Found this very useful, things such as a free boat ride and going to the sea life centre for free was brilliant. As well as discounts into Lego centre and Berlin cathedral.

Do not buy from here, either you buy from the tour directly or from the office directly which is in office or main train station. I purchased the card and presented in museum and does not work, some staff even said they never seen this ticket before (only a bar code to scan), when I bring to the welcome Berlin card center itself (Humboldt Forum) , they say it is not in the system and have no idea how to exchange the real ticket for me.
Potentially it's a scam product on here. Still waiting for refunds from trip advisor.

We loved this card. We loved Berlin and this card made it so easy to get around
From the moment we arrived at the airport - transport direct to Berlin. Tram from the station to the hotel. From the hotel to the town. On a bus from the town to somewhere we recognised.
25% discount from boat trips: museum of illusions hop on hop off bus tours.
We were only there three days but that welcome pass saved us so much money

This is an excellent way to roam Berlin. And mostly all the major attrations are covered, some which are nit covered, you get a discount.
The are 2 things which everyone is doing wrong is:
1. Booking it online. The best way is to go to a tourist centre and buy it. It hardly takes 5 minutes and you are all sorted out. There are family passes also.
2. BVG does not have the all inclusive card which has everthing. Other welcome cards are a waste of money, so don't go to BVG, go to a tourist information centre and ask for all inclusive welcome card.
Best things to do that are included and free with all inclusive card:
1. Hop on hop off in Berlin and Potsdam
2. Ferry ride
3. Local transport for the whole ABC route and any mode of transport
4. Tv tower
5. Madame tussade's
6. Museum island
7. Sea life Berlin
8. Spy museum
There is much more and it is worth the money.

This Welcome Card is a very good idea for making it easier to get around Berlin and for discounts in museums, restaurants or shops!
However, check its profitability as well as the details of the reduction in shops and restaurants,
Some stores only offer a small discount on a small item and some restaurants only offer discounts after a certain time. To study but otherwise I recommend!

Very complicated. A paper printout instead of a mobile phone. Very backwards. If the QR code on the paper printout is slightly bent, nothing works. OK, it's a bit cheaper, but the implementation modalities need to be improved.

The hop on hop off bus that is included in the package for a city tour to get a first impression of the great city was not particularly good, as we were used to from other city trips. Very little information.
The man in the tourist information was also very annoyed by our questions and said that you could read everything up.
The lady on the Berlin Walk - tour of the city was brilliant and was super friendly and very informative.
The ticket sounds tempting, but is not necessary, as you don't actually get to see that much and the price is high.

Dubious business practices!
They don't play with open cards. For example, the Friedrichstadtpalast is advertised with a 25% discount. However, this is obviously not true, as only high-priced ticket categories are discounted. What is the use of a ticket that advertises high discounts that don't actually exist?
