English Tourists Beware!!

Save your money and don't go on this tour! The websites and guides tell you that they offer English tours but the bus tour guide mostly spoke German. The bus driver who sold us the ticket barely spoke English and didn't tell us that there is only one English speaking tour per day at 12pm but this company offers a German speaking cruise every 30 minutes! Bus and boat do not offer Wifi which good quality tours offer. Also this company does not offer headphones to listen to the tour in English.

Die Rundfahrt mit "Reiseleiter", der die Erklärung mit kleinen Geschichten spickt war für uns neu bei einer Hop-Hop-Off -Tour.

Don't do it!

Not on time. Was suppose to meet at 9:50 according to their email update showed up at 10:05 Ok but still late. Bus driver was not very friendly but finally gave us our tickets. The tour guide later said he's a cranky guy but has a heart of gold. I wouldn't have him represent my company. We got off bus to go on the cruise that was included. The guide said they will be back at 2. We went on cruise which was nice started at 12 ended at 1. We went to "hop on" at 1:30 because she said she would be back at 2. Their info said they would be there at 1:25 then 2:25 and 3:25 and so on. we waited in the rain til after 3 when one one their buses showed up. This guide we were told was "Nora" was rude, snarky and didn't care because we couldn't find the ticket in time and said they had to leave. So we waited again after we found the tickets and at 3:20 the guide that said she would be there at 2 showed up. We told her what happened and she said she would pass it. In closing it ruined our only full day in Hamburg with this lack of customer service. Do yourself a favor and book on another HOP ON HOP OFF operator.

Ligne D - À faire!
De passage à Hambourg, nous avons choisi cette compagnie qui proposait notamment la visite du tour du lac Aufenalster.
Très très joli! Une ville très verte. Bon moyen de visiter la ville quand on a peu de temps! Nous l’avons complétée avec une visite en petit bateau dans les canaux et le port (1h avec Barkassen-Meyer)
Audio disponible en français avec le casque.
Forfait famille 4 personnes à 36€ (2 adultes et 2 enfants).
Nous l’avons pris au dessus de la digue du port, à environ 150m du HardRock café.
Personnel pas toujours sympa (ne parle pas toujours anglais), censé être du hop on hop off mais pas de bouton trouvé pour demander l’arrêt ... prévoir 1h30 pour faire le tour complet (sans descendre du bus).
Nous recommandons car un des seuls à proposer le français et le tour du lac!

Déçue par le service de Stadtrundfahrt !

J'ai l'habitude de ce genre de visites qui permet, dès l'arrivée dans une ville, de se rendre compte de l'ambiance architecturale, historique et sociale. de faire des repérages pour la suite d'un séjour. De Lisbonne à Séville, de Porto à Marrakech, et dans d'autres villes où je me suis rendue, j'ai trouvé ce service aux touristes très agréable à utiliser. Je n'ai jamais été déçue, sauf cette fois, à Hambourg ! L'annonce faite d'un commentaire dans ma langue, ainsi qu'en bien d'autres, d'ailleurs, sur le véhicule, petits drapeaux à l'appui, confirmée par le conducteur, se révéla bien vite fausse. A l'entrée dans le véhicule, on ne m'a donné ni plan du circuit, ni matériel d'écoute. On me remit des écouteurs sur ma demande ; ils n'étaient même pas sous cellophane, comme d'habitude, en raison évidente d'hygiène. J'ai eu beau essayer toutes les langues, rien ne fonctionnait. Pas un son ! Le personnel faisait quelques commentaires, en langue allemande et dans un anglais approximatif, sans tenir compte du trajet, peu intéressants.
Dommage, la visite méritait mieux que cela, pour 16 euros ! j'aurai mieux fait de prendre n'importe quel bus, j'aurais payé moins cher et j'aurais été aussi bien !
Alors que j'abordai le sujet en descendant, auprès du personnel, celui-ci m'annonça qu'on lui avait déjà fait la remarque, qu'il n'y pouvait rien ! "Merci, il fallait le dire avant, ai-je répondu". Je me retint d'en dire plus.
Cette compagnie vend tout simplement quelque chose qui n'existe pas, avec la complicité de ses employés.
Pas bravo !

Hello lamarysou, in Hamburg there are 8 different city tour companies. Unfortunately, you have given us a rating that does not belong to us. Our city tour provider offers on the bus only live moderation in German and English language and does not provide audio guide. The provider is the HCT Citytours, Line F-Blue Line (not to be confused with the dark blue buses with audio equipment). The valuations of our customers are very important to our companies and we not only accept praise, but we also accept criticism. For this reason we ask you to check once again your rating.
