Thoroughly enjoyed this tour which encompasses a peek at 5 privately owned patios. It’s possible to do this on your own, but I personally found it worthwhile having a guide in order to learn more about the tradition. Booking online was simple & the meeting point clear & convenient (Royal Stables entrance). Our guide, Antonio, a history graduate & native of Cordoba, was a charming host with a friendly demeanour, good English skills & a firm knowledge of the patios. It was interesting to learn how they came to be such a feature of Cordoba, & the finer details of the annual competition. The main festival is in May, but they are still very much worth a visit at other times, indeed I felt my early March trip was a good time to do so without the crowds. As a consequence of not having to queue, this experience took little more than an hour, versus the 2 you’d need during the festival.

We had a wonderful experience with tour guide Maria! She was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We loved the patios tour. They were beautiful and much better than we expected. Maria made it such an informative experience as well.

Los patios son preciosos y merece la pena esta visita. Miguel Ángel, nuestro guía, nos explicó todo a la perfección y nos llevó a los patios premiados (ventaja de ir en los últimos días). Un muy buen guía. Gracias.
